Hi Melody! Several of us noticed that the store photo of the black gold rising spectrals differs from the actual black gold rising spectrals that have been out there. Is the store photo acurate of the new color, or was this an oversight? Personally I like the “old” look with the wings being purple and the chest having some red on it. I think others like the “old” or current look instead of the “new” or “store photo” look.

Add me to liking the old. I don’t want a bg riser if his wings aren’t purple. That was my FAVORITE thing about them.
I also think the chest looks better with that hint of red.Personally I’m kind of torn. I like the wings much better on the new version and more colorful chest of the old version.
So whats the new paint job? The photo in the store or the old (better) one? He’s the last I need for my bg set… so I’d like to know so when I DO have money to buy him if I need to find someone that owns the original color or if I’m safe to buy from you guys.
Ok, I checked the store and that photo does match our paint sample of the black gold rising spectral.
I have had a painter add more red to the chest of these to come closer to the one you guys like. These actually do have a decent amount of purple on the wings,( it hardly shows in the store photo) but it doesn’t cover the wing arm like the one in your pic.
I want the arm to stay black for contrast, the purple arm is too much purple.
