August 14, 2010 at 4:29 am #824277Were there ever rainbow fledgies? I have NEVER even seen a picture of one, but have seen them on many wish lists. I wonder if we all put in a big squeek squeek* for them if more could be made?
August 14, 2010 at 4:39 pm #824278Yes, there are rainbow fledgies 🙂 they’re adorable and very hard to find. I do believe they’re retired though
August 14, 2010 at 4:44 pm #824279According to the Windstone “Retired Pieces” list, Rainbow Fledgies were made from 1997 – 2006. If you want to see a picture, take a look at the ebay Completed Auctions. One sold on August 5 for $41.00, and one sold on August 6, also for $41.00. An Emerald Peacock sold on July 31 for $74.00, so they are out there too.
August 14, 2010 at 9:00 pm #824280I saw one!! On astral castle’s (I think) encyclopedia of Windstones. I BINGed “Windstone rainbow fledgling” and got a picture. They were VERY cute!!
August 17, 2010 at 3:59 am #824281The rainbow color was only around a few years…maybe from 2004 to ’06. Im not sure the exact year, but it was since 2000 Im pretty positive. Many people thought they were gaudy-I guess thats why they didnt sell as well as some of the other colors. I LOVE the Rainbow color and have everything but the young, lap, SK and fledgling. Probably wont get a young dragon, the SK will have to wait a looooong time, so the other two Im after.
August 17, 2010 at 4:25 am #824282He’s adorable!! I’m loving the rainbow scheme too, I don’t think it’s gaudy at all. They stopped making them a couple years before I became an “obsessed collector”. So far the young dragon is the only rainbow I’ve been able to get my hands on.
August 17, 2010 at 6:47 am #824283I love the rainbow scheme too, though I was looking at my new rainbow lap dragon yesterday (she’s my first and so far only rainbow) and found myself thinking that the red blush on her nose looked an awful lot like a lion’s nose after a fresh kill on a nature show, if you know what I mean…
(Well, and then my mom started singing Rudolph, and my hubbie made a comment about strong drink, and it all went downhill from there 🙄 )
But I stlll love her and given that I work with raptors, I don’t mind the well-and-freshly-fed look! 😀August 17, 2010 at 7:13 pm #824284*bump*
