My dogs tolerated a lot of pulling, pushing, hard pats….it’s amazing how tolerant pets can be.

You wait until she gets teeth! 😆

None of my pets were that tolerant!

I’ve noticed a lot of animals distinguish between little ones and adults, in what they’ll tolerate. I got taught to respect kitties by a huge-arse bruiser of a tom, who beat me up for waking him up by pulling on his tail, approximately age three. Without using his claws or teeth. He just sat up on his hinds and whapped me a couple of times in the face*. Later on, once he’d established that I knew Proper Cat behaviour, he’d knock me over by smooching around my legs until I lost my balance, then sit on me and purr 🙂 (I miss that cat. RIP, Ginga.)

(*I went crying to my mother, who promptly told me off for annoying the cat…)

      Awwww….Ginga sounds like a wonderful cat! 😀

Mothball was ridiculously tolerant. Once, my brother picked her up by the tail, carried her to the living room, and went “I have kitty!”…. she was curled up like a possum and purring happily.

Sugar on the other hand, just yowled if we were mistreating her (getting my mum and dad to rescue her) until we were three. Then she started teaching us lessons on how to behave around the cat. Every time we got ‘taught’ and were crying from it… mother berated us. We deserve it, she said… 😆

Well I found the other pictures of kitties and puppies I’ve had (they actually belong/belonged to our parents).

Sugar and Spice (guess whos who – they were named appropriately). Though Spice died well before I was born (in 1984) Sugar was alive well into my teen years, and Spice just… goes with Sugar. They were sisters.

Mothball, also passed on, but most recently, when I was in grade 11. She would sleep in whatever position she was flopped in. 😆

          Fluff (aka PITA)

Pixie (aka Pixie Doodles, Doodlip, Pix)

Well, everyone has seen my dogs, even if Mick was in passing. So here’s my fish.

Goldie the discus and part of the Neverending Geometrically Multiplying Swarm of Platies. I was given a few platies a short while back and figured I’d keep them to provide babies for the discus to hunt/eat. My discus are too well fed to want to hunt much apparently!

Goldie with (ahem) S*** the red turquoise discus. S*** got the name because he came in with a take charge attitude. They are cichlids, after all.

Blue the blue discus, boringly enough. All my discus ATM are babies. I’m sad I’ll probably have to lose them when I move. I’ve always enjoyed them, and the care they provide their babies is really neat to watch. If I can’t keep the tank, though, I’m offering it to my brother in law so it will still be in the family.

Snotface the pompom goldfish and Golfball AKA Fatso the pearlscale oranda. Snotface is still a young guy, only had him about 5 years and bought him as a less than 1″ fryguy at Walmart because he had a good body form and my 55 was overtaken with duckweed, so I wanted a small goldfish to clean it up for me. Didn’t even know what he was other than some sort of ranchu. I bought Golfball as a companion for him not too long ago, one of my daughter’s friends dropped soda in teh tank and killed his previous one (a bubble eye they’re more fragile). Snotface is getting good size, about 8″ now. Their tank is only a 29, so I think I’ll be able to keep them when I move yay! They have the typical wonderful goldfish personality.

😯 Oh can I see another picture of blue, pipsxlch? I would love to see a better one….side maybe?
I don’t like blue in general except when it comes in blue jeans, fish, butterflies and birds. 🙄

Beautiful cats everyone! 😀 And devil dog 😆

Ah…she’s very friendly, and likes to ride around the house on my hat actually. She’s a good girl, just very expressive. 🙂
