So far we’ve had Babies, Coileds, Curlies, Fledglings, Young Orientals, and Rising Spectrals in Lavender Pearl, and Babies, Curlies, Fledglings, and Hatchers in Aquamarine… what are the odds on some of the other sculpts appearing in these colors?

Come to that, what distinguishes a Production color and Limited Production color, and do either LavPrl or Aquamarine count as LP colors at this point?

I am of course craving Lap Dragons (I know; surprise, surprise! Right?) but I’m also just generally curious, because of the scattered selection for these colors… At first I thought it was just being rolled out on smaller sculpts only, but that Rising Spectral kind of throws that hypothesis for a loop. So if there’s been any official announcements about plans to fully produce either color, I’ve missed it somehow, and figured I’d better come and ask!

(Gotta say, I really love the Glacier color, too; maaaaayyyyyybe even more than Aquamarine?? I sure hope it turns up on other dragons at some point!)

Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).

FYI – Other Lavender Pearl pieces currently out of stock – Male, Mother, hatching, adult Oriental, and young. The Mother Coiled is also out of stock, not sure if you had that one on your list.

The aquamarine was a paint supply problem last I knew:

From another thread in October 2014: [Melody said] “The paint we used to paint the aquamarine has been discontinued by the company that made it! Matching paint is a very time consuming hassle, so I put it off a long as possible.
We might have enough of the Aquamarine paint left to do a small batch [of young dragons] , but I’m not sure about that.”

Did we miss painting things in lavender pearl?
            I haven’t been keeping track.
The Aquamarine color was discontinued because we can’t get that color of paint anymore! The color is not retired exactly, but we’d have to figure out how to match the color using other paints.

Lap Dragon, Emperor, Old Warrior, Scratcher, Mini Keeper and Spectral have not yet been done in Lavender Pearl. Nor has the Secret Keeper.

I think the Lap Dragon would be the best out of these sculpts in Lavender Pearl…

Well, most of the large sculpts haven’t appeared in Lavender Pearl yet — as far as I can see, there have been no Lavender Pearl Lap Dragons, Scratchers, Emperors, Spectrals, Sun/Moon Orientals, Old Warriors, or Secret Keepers… unless somebody knows something I don’t, anyway.

Oh no! to the Aquamarine paint shortage! Poor little Aquamarines, I hope you can figure out a match at some point so the family can grow again. Perhaps all us Forum users can band together and write letters to the paint maker? 🙂 We’d probably be happy to petition them for more Aquamarine paint!

Now I’m extra glad that I hadn’t decided to buy any Aquamarine dragons yet, because I couldn’t decide between Aquamarine and waiting to see if Glacier showed up on other sculpts! (And can I take a minute to say: I absolutely LOVE Olimpia’s “Mineral Spring”, and the two “Turquoise” test paints you’ve done?! If Aquamarine paint runs out, and Glacier isn’t popular enough or easy enough to translate onto other sculpts, I’d go for Mineral Spring or Turquoise Lap Dragons in a heartbeat! *squeak* )
