-J R R TolkienFebruary 7, 2007 at 6:30 am #536635So, Melody, have we convinced you yet to bring back the original oriental?? We’re still begging….
Any closer to releasing any of the orientals in a new color?? I know you don’t encourage repaints, but did you see the beautiful koi oriental dragon that Whippet painted??

A koi pattern would make a WICKED AWESOME new production color….I remember you saying that it looks better done by hand than with an airbrush, but most of us think your koirin looked just beautiful…Also, are you planning on making any more birman flap cats??? I saved up and just when I was ready to buy one they were gone…and I know I’m not the only one who missed out!

-J R R TolkienFebruary 7, 2007 at 8:06 am #536636I also need new orientals (cough cough, white oriental family) and maybe… perhaps… someday…. far awaw, but not too far far away…. Odd eyed white flap cats again ….someday….as you cry “I just listed the White Griffin Mothers! What else do you want from me!?!”

I’ve been waiting for that gal for a loooooong time, and even though I don’t have her yet, I get giddy when I think that there’s one in a box in the factory just for me! ^_^ My griffies will have mates!! (and my old tan has been lonely a long time!!) Thank you thank you – can’t wait for chicks!!
(which brings up another question – will you ever make a hatching griffin???)"He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom."
-J R R TolkienFebruary 7, 2007 at 11:51 am #536638I love the oriental painted like that. Im also awating the odd-eyed flap cat. 😀
February 7, 2007 at 4:00 pm #536639I’m also interested in the Birman and missed out. The closed-eyed tabbies would be fun to get too.
February 7, 2007 at 4:33 pm #536640I like my burman…so pretty…
I would love a white oriental dragon too…
but I’m still waiting for a SK…
February 7, 2007 at 6:03 pm #536641I would definitely be interested in Orientals in new colors!

I saved up and just when I was ready to buy one they were gone…and I know I’m not the only one who missed out! I suspect we won’t be bringing any of the Orientals back as production pieces. They are just too hard to cast (try to picture removing a seamless, one-piece mold from them) I hoped to someday make them all in limited production colors, including the elusive Moon dragon, but that isn’t something we will be doing in the near future, since the molds will probably need to be redesigned first. If we still have some castings of the Sun dragon and the young dragons sitting around unpainted,(I don’t know if we do, ’cause I’m still in Oregon) I would like do a special “end of run” edition in some weird color…I have tried koi markings on them…and I still got this problem with it.. YICK.( Oh, I take that back! I just looked at Whippets…Why does HERS look good, and mine suck???? )
Yes, we will probably make more Birman flapcats, eventually. I really like those.February 7, 2007 at 8:18 pm #536643Well, you make me happy about the birmans, but extrememly, heart sinkingly sad about the orientals!!! 😥 I think they’re my second favorite Windstones, right behind the griffins, and they are in so few colors!! ;_; So I for one would like to encourage you to keep trying!! Though an end of run special would certainly be better than nothing…Unless they go out as OOAKs, because I can never afford those!! XD

February 8, 2007 at 7:39 am #536646Wow, I feel so unobservant now! I really wanted a Birman flapcat too, and figured they’d be around a while, so I didn’t get around to getting one either. I third! (or fourth?) the notion of bringing them back! 😀
AND the orientals too! You could hire Whippet to paint new koi orientals for you ^_^ She could fly out to the factory fora day or three, and paint paint paint hehe (see how I just roped you into that, Whippet? ;)) Personally, I’d like to see the oriental in ruby to match the sun dragon, and both sun dragon and oriental in pearly glossy white with gold accents and shadows. They would look SO heavenly!
February 8, 2007 at 12:02 pm #536647Yeah Birmans. I would love to get a chance to get one of those. I guess it pays to buy right away, right? I would also love to see more orientals. I loved the orientals.
February 13, 2007 at 12:05 pm #536648Ide love a birman as well 😀
