The orchid shell dragons are gorgeous… I wish I could afford one! I was curious, since I’m new around here – how often do these hand painted pieces go on ebay? I’ve been collecting Windstones for a while, but I only have the normal production pieces. Thanks!

Off Topic: Are you in Corpus? I used to go there all the time. Padre islands are so nice!
On Topic: All Windstones are hand painted, though the production and limited production ones are all airbrushed by folks at the Factory. The special, detailed, brush-painted pieces only myself and Helen do (Helen hasn’t had any listed- yet) and they take us a long time. We try to get one on eBay every week or two, but with the Factory moving right now it’s hard. It may be several weeks in-between these special pieces.

And yes, I just moved to Corpus last week actually, to attend grad school here. It’s wonderful so far, and I’m only about 15 minutes from Mustang Island, which has some nice beaches. Padre does too, of course! My degree will be a PhD in coastal and marine science, so this is a great place to be for it.
