This one was even better. Thanks for brining these guys to my attention. I sent them on to my hubby.
We just adore them! Their talent is amazing and it’s been good for me boyohs to see that there are other routes to earn a living as they get older than just engineering. ‘Course we had an interesting conversation in the car the other day… Ethan said he thinks he’s changed his mind and doesn’t want to be an engineer when he grows up. Roddy (papa) wanted to know why? “Don”t know” said E, “doesn’t look too exciting”. Sean pops up with “well, what sort of engineers are there?” Roddy starts listing types; mechanical engineers, chemical engineers, civil engineers, etc. Boys wanted to know who did what in our extended family – Pop is a mechanical engineer. Uncle Dave is a civil engineer. Gram’pa worked in computers that helped put man on the moon, etc, etc. Rod started to chuckle after a bit – boys wanted to know what civil engineers built and Rod said “Targets”. Huh???? Targets??? Yup! Civil engineers build cities (targets), chemical engineers build things that go “BOOM!!!” and mechanical engineers build the delivery systems. Gram’pa pipes up and says that “yes, that’s all true, but the person who get’s the REAL fun is the pilot who flies the plane and gets to push the button and actually see the whole process… and get’s the fun of watching it go “BOOM!” *silly gram’pa!* 😆
