$1245 sounds reasonable to me, ddvm, especially considering this “opening price.”

I’m trying to check no more than once a day! I don’t want all my hair to fall out (it’d make a mess). π
I’m really glad that he’s doing so well! This must be a sign that you need to paint more of the production sculpts… πMarch 28, 2007 at 3:10 pm #547325Yeah! I’d love to see an OW painted by Nam. *drools*
March 28, 2007 at 3:14 pm #547326Definitely…or a scratcher…or one of the spectrals…
March 28, 2007 at 3:15 pm #547327A Spectral by Nam. I would definitely go for that!
March 28, 2007 at 3:21 pm #547328My personal favorite: a Secret Keeper by Nam!
March 28, 2007 at 3:23 pm #547329I think I’ll be happy with Autumn Leaf. I could never afford an OOAK SK by Nam – though I’d sure love to see one!
March 28, 2007 at 3:26 pm #547330I keep hoping that Melody will do a copper mauve SK one of these days.
And yeah, I think an OOAK SK by Nam would bring a record price! Though it would probably take forever to paint…

Wow, what a great idea, GB! The ensuing frenzy would be really interesting and very entertaining. I could always take out a second mortgage… π
March 28, 2007 at 3:32 pm #547332I’m not too good at painting scales yet! I gotta practice. π

So I was wondering, would you consider posting progress photos of your creations in the gallery? It’s so great to see the evolution of a piece.
Sadly I don’t really have any progress photos of anything… I can start doing that though! π
I know I would definitely love to see that!
Oops!! I lied! I found some progress photos of the Sun griffin. Sorry guys, I forget what I take photos of half the time. I’ve got like 2 CF cards and 3 memory sticks laying around and I never know what’s on them…
You’ll notice a photo of a wing that he’s sitting on. I always bring all these photos to my painting table to use as reference.. then end up ignoring them and painting whatever is in my head anyway! Doh!He got a base coat of titanium white, then got some browns shaded in:
I detailed his wings first. This took a long time.
Here he is after wing and neck-feather detailing. I think he is at this stage when I started taking the video. He has a lot of work to go, not to mention antiquing! What a pain! π
Did I post these two already? I can’t remember… Sorry if this is a repeat. These are some detail shots of him once he was finished.
I love the little opals in his necklace.

AWww thanks… but I can’t get the large scales real smooth. I’m bad at PYO kirins because of this. And the big production dragons have biiig scales! I gotta get a little better first. π

March 28, 2007 at 3:43 pm #547337Thanks for those progress pics. It’s neat to see how he developed.
