I was home from work today when I got a call from my husband saying that he wanted me to come to the house he was working at. Said he wanted to show me something. So I go over there. Turns out what he wanted to show me was a beautiful oak display case. 😯 And it was for sale! For $100! 😯 It’s not here yet, but it’s mine! 😀
It’s 89″ tall, 54″ wide, and about 12″ deep, but tapers down some on the sides. I wish that it had four shelves, but I can live with three. At least my Emporer will fit in it. The shelves are glass, each shelf is three pieces, but are well supported by wood along the back and between each piece. the only place that clips are used is in the front corners. It has a light in the top. I also like that the sides are glass too. And there is lots of storage in the bottom section.
I’m so excited. This is the second score we’ve come across in two months. The other one was a really nice dresser made of hard rock maple and oak. Got it for $100 also. It was going to be the base for the display case that I was going to get, but looks like I won’t be needing it for that now. 😀 Now we’ve got to get going on the new room! We’re running out of room to store stuff! 😯 😆

I’ll be getting it by the weekend, but I’m afraid filling it with Windstones will take a while. We have to get the add on to the house done first. So this will be in storage for a while. 🙁 But I got it! 😀

Lucky you! 😀That is great copper! Geez…I don’t know if I’d have the guts to put my windstones on glass shelves. How do you know how much weight they’ll hold..I mean in general?
