Congrats on the hubby and the lap! Not sure its fair for you to have both. 8)
May 7, 2009 at 8:02 am #763332Oh wow, I like your mantle. Nice decor!
And a big thumbs-up to your guy for being so thoughtful and generous. 😀May 7, 2009 at 11:32 pm #763333setsunawolf wrote:That is an amazing picture. Congrats on your lap. I’d like a man to treat me that way too. But I have lousy taste in men in general:oops: , so probably not gonna happen. Maybe you could give me some tips on how to find a good one? 😀 😉
Hmmmm. First–don’t try to find the perfect person. Perfect doesn’t exist in the real world. Second–learn to be patient. Third–(here’s the hard part)–figure out what it is that you really want out of life, or at least something pretty significant. Work as hard as you can to achieve your goal. Take a look around every once in a while, and if you see somebody else fighting for the same things, you’ve either found a new friend, or a potential soul mate! 😮
We had both been through two nasty divorces (each!) and were not even remotely interested in new relationships when we met. It’s amazing what will find you when you’re not looking for it. Does that even make sense?!? 😕

Thanks! The dragons were only there for a couple of (really bad) beauty shots. They are in wood and glass cases to protect them from the cat hair and dust. I still haven’t had time to try to get some proper pictures… 😳
There are a few candles and framed photos back in the middle with the gargoyle and hippogriff.May 7, 2009 at 11:46 pm #763335Don’t have time to answer all the others individually, so I’ll just say this to everyone who got a kick out of our posts and replied:
THANK YOU!
Later! :bye:

Actually it makes a lot of sense. My roommate and I get along like that very well, but we share the same desires. Although usually I am the one buying the amazing gift and surprising her. I like to see how people react to gifts they weren’t expecting. So when someone does something like for me I’m usually floored. She got me good with my Silver lap for my birthday last year.Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin

You can keep the Lap, but would your man be willing to give lessons? XD
Lovely pics, too!
Seriously! I thought I had hope when I caught my boyfriend admiring my silver spectral….but alas. It was just because he looks “tough an cool” *re* :nea:
When you said years to find eachother, how did you two meet, if you don’t mind me asking? 🙂 And again, hopefully Im not prying (just curious!) how long were you two together before he took a liking to your windstones? Or at least how long until he realized that getting them for you gets SUPER HUGE brownie points? 🙂

Not prying! I enjoy talking about Rage! 😉
Our horses introduced us! I was carrying a 50 pound bag of grain over my shoulder. He walked over and took it from me. Then, being the gentleman he is, he carried that one (and the others that were waiting around the corner) to my barrels for me. I wasn’t sure whether to be thankful or outraged since I have no trouble throwing 50 pound bags of grain around. (the 75-80 pound bales of alfalfa are another story!)
That’s when we started talking and became friends. He was just through his second divorce, and my second was almost finished.
It took him almost three years to get me to get married again. Neither of us had any Windstones then, but we gave entire sets to each other as our wedding presents. He got all the peacocks for me; I got all the ruby ones for him.
Yikes–I just looked at the clock! Way past my bedtime… More another day! :bye:May 14, 2009 at 6:04 pm #763340Mirrako wrote:Not prying! I enjoy talking about Rage! 😉
