But it isnt the same deformity, pugs noses got shorter over time through selective breeding, not a genetic defect from inbreeding.

Both have ungodly short faces that cause breathing problems. I know one came about on accident and the other was bred purposefully, but as far as I am concerned, there is little difference in the end.

Here is a good link on dog deformaties
      http://www.mini-horse.org/dwarf_dog_horse.html

As noted here, many of these “deformaties” have also been bred into dogs. (And yes, I do consider them deforematies aven though they have been deliberately bred into dogs via selective breeding).

As I said weather you like it or not others do, they take on the care of these breeds, personally I dont, because I dont like the health problems of pretty much ALL popular breeds. The deformities that have been bred into German Shepherds largly by north america, over the years are way more harmful then those you call “deformities”. The breeding practices of millers and BYB is a larger concern then those who do health tests and breed the healthiest stock available IMO.

I’m going to be teaching language arts next year, and I’ve decided that I have got to use these as ‘bell ringers’ to start my class. Correct the grammar, write your own, write a story about the picture and the like.
So if you see any reading/writing themed ones (middle school appropriate), please send them my way! Thanks!
