It’s a burrowing owl. They have long yellow legs and when they stand like that they do look like they are wearing bloomers!

That one tripped me up too. I was thinking it could have something to do with those commercials where everyone stops moving fast when someone decides to write a check rather than scan their Visa card, but I wasnt sure.
As for the moon cat- I was also thinking if the cat was about to moon the camera cause he was so shaved up. Only after I thought about it did it come to mind about the spine and werewolves.
The collar in the first cat (of the check caption) reminds me of Orion’s from Men In Black- “the galaxy is on Orion’s belt.”
But the collar of the last orange kitty looks so tight like it’s about to pop his head off!
