Well, not me! My grandma… no, wait, she was in Southern France. When it snows there, it’s quite the event.
No, really, that came from a TV commercial. I don’t remember when, and what! Shows you how effective it was…

I love the coconut crab. Wish we had that kind of monster scuttling around our place. 😆January 28, 2008 at 6:57 pm #645385This is slightly off topic but…
Scroll down the page a bit to see Babygirl. I wish I lived close by….I would adopt her myself. I hope somebody has a heart and gives her a good home…
January 28, 2008 at 7:22 pm #645386I hope the doctors do not chop her up!!
Mother nature knows BEST and she has gotten to be full grown with out any trouble. It looks like she has found a way to survive. She does not know any better so why change it now??January 28, 2008 at 7:37 pm #645387I think it will be easier for her to get around if they remove the extra limb and the crippled limb. I don’t think the Humane Society would operate unless they thought it was really necessary. The operation will cost money and I don’t think they would divert funds from needy animals for an operation that was unnecessary.

I think I’d be creeped out if Steve Irwin was there to walk me through it. He’s been dead for over a year, you know. RIP, Steve! 🙁

Mother nature knows BEST and she has gotten to be full grown with out any trouble. It looks like she has found a way to survive. She does not know any better so why change it now??I’ve known two amputee cats, both did really well after surgery. One had a heavy object fall on him that crushed his leg rendering it useless, the other had a bad infection that would have taken his life.
In the case of this cat, she would likely do much better without the extra limb, and xrays probably show that the normal limb is affected or attached to the abnormal limb. Separating the two so that the normally positioned leg was functional is probably impossible. Altering her in this way will improve her quality of life, she will be able to move around much easier, run and jump. Which she can’t do now. Also the brain is not set up for 5 legs, which is probably a portion of the problems she has with mobility.
Anyway, vets don’t like to do surgery on a whim, if the vets have decided this is the best course to take to improve her life, they are probably right. She will be happy, never fear, and someone will love her.
