This is my kitty Smudge, she only lets me “pet” her through the window. If I go outside and try to approach her, she runs away. When she does come to me though, she purrs like mad and cuddles.
She’s a silly cat. But I thought you guys would get a laugh at this photo. Because the whole time I have my hand up there, she rubs on the glass and butts her head on it, and acts like I am actually petting her, silly thing.
If you look at the lower left hand corner of the photo, you can see the head of my cat Avalanche watching Smudge and I, he’s probably thinking we’re weird.

😆 😆 My cat acts the same. Walks up to you meowing and then runs away when you reach down to pet him. Silly thing.

Yep, the black fur on the top of her head is the only part of her that isn’t white. When she first showed up, we thought it looked like a smudge of grease, you know from when they walk under the car? So we dubbed her “Smudge” and it stuck.
She’s a really sweet kitty, just shy, she’s only brave for pettings in the window.

That’s Avalanche, when he was a kitten, he knocked down 3 stacks of books in rapid succession within seconds of each other, and they were on three different tables in the room at the time. I said to him, you sure are causing avalanches everywhere! Hey, that’s it, your name is Avalanche! It stuck.

😆 😆 😆 One of my friends had a cat named Random Numbers. Her mechanical engineer dad named it ’cause as a kitten, it would race around the house and crash into and careen off the walls. After every bounce off a wall, the kitty would shake it off and walk calmly away. Friend’s dad said the cat didn’t have a brain, it had a head full of random numbers and every bounce off a wall shook up the numbers and kitty came up with a different personality 😆
