Thanks everyone. I basically told him the components I wanted: white gold, diamond shaped sapphire, two small diamonds (one on each side) and the bevel or knife edge, he did up a sketch of what he thought would look nice and then he got together with the jeweler to finish the detail work (the scrolling and small darts).
So he comes home last night, asked if I’d picked up the mail, I said yes. He told me there was junk mail left at the door. I go to have a look, there is a piece from so jeweler I’d never hear of, flipped through, oohed and aahed at a couple of pieces but didn’t think anything of it. Put it down cause I’m thinking of what I want for supper…he asks if I read the inside…I pull it out again, read it this time and then come the waterworks, he pulls out the ring box and I was shaking so bad I thought I’d drop it. No, he didn’t get down on one knee but I didn’t expect him to. What we’re entering into is a partnership. If the guy has to beg, I’m thinking that she isn’t ready (just my opinion).
So, have a look at the flyer and tell me you wouldn’t think it was just junk mail:
That’s his name scrambled as the designer:
It even has a postal label for goodness sakes:
And this was the last page:
