Olympia's Black Violet coiled momma

To be honest, I thought it was just a regular black gold. I don’t see much of a difference

If you look at the face of Olimpia’s BV coiled mother the reddish/violet color comes all the way down to the snout which is a gold color. Also her dragon doesn’t appear have the gold “mascara” under the eyes. Then there is also the wider/brighter reddish/violet stripe all the way down the center line of the dragon.

On the regular BG there is a little bit of color above the heart between the eyes and the center strip is very thin – limited to the center scales. If you compare the ends of the two tails you can really see the difference. One is almost completely black, the other reddish/violet.

I see the “differences” and everything after examining it, but at first glace it’s just black gold. Like Arlla said, it looks way too much like regular black gold for me to be interested in it. I’d rather just spend $80 on the normal BG mother than $200+ on something that barely looks different…

but um..yeah a regular black gold would go with my black gold emperor…better….hehe

The golden snout is a nice touch, and I really like that her face overall has more color. If I hadn’t already gotten the BG mama, I would’ve been sooo tempted to try for her. But… the heart isn’t gold. I know it’s gold on the brown one too, but that’s the sweet little extra touch that got me to buy this sculpt at all (never been a fan before, and I do love BG).

Well, I’d have to agree that although I like Olympia’s version better, I wouldn’t pay the 200+ pricing when i can snag a black gold which are beautiful as well….oh, and I love your new siggie arlla!

I love it, but I agree with the masses. When I clicked on the link it looked like a black gold to me. I do see that it is more colorful. Its a beauty.

Ok, now I do see the differences and thanks for the pics peg. I do like this one, and if there are more made then I will probably try for it. Good luck to everyone on bidding on this one. And I ditto on the siggie Arlla.
