I always thought nothing could take the place of the curls in my heart….til we got this BEASTLY hunk Old Warrior. I bougtht him for hubby, thinking you know, the OW looks nice in the pix, and this one is the peacock color, which is my favorite color of them all. I guess I wasn’t prepared for the shear SIZE of the beastly thing though, he’s too heavy for my glass shelving, and so big he sticks off my mantel a half an inche!! Hubby adores him, and I have to say, I love all the kinks and dinks on the body, and the hole in the wing is just awsome. what a critter.
SO, now hubby’s staring at me wonderingwhen the next one is coming in 😯 . I”m wondering, is there a black gold or an emerald peacock OW out there? I know I want the autumn leaf, but haha, unless one falls and breaks his whole head off, he’ll be out of my pricerange for a while 😥
Also, is there a companion for OW? I have him next to the mama peacock and hatching baby, but they don’t quite mesh since he’s 2-3 times her size. Plus, with the way they are on the mantel, something facing right would look cool.
Thanks!!
April 2, 2007 at 3:08 pm #490347April 2, 2007 at 3:12 pm #557954WHERE DID YOU FIND A PEACOCK OLD WARRIOR! I would so kill for one 🙁 I just got my ruby ow and he doesn’t fit in my display case either. I know Melody said something about gold ow’s but I don’t know if she is going to bring out an ema pea ow.

April 2, 2007 at 3:13 pm #557955There was only one Autumn Leaf and he sold for over $2,000. It’s not a forum member who has him (at least no one has admitted it) so he’s gone. There’s a bunch of us who want him, so if he ever gets put up to sell again, the price is going to go crazy.
On another thread Melody said the Gold OWs will be out in a few weeks. That’s the first one in regular production since the Peacock retired.
The White, Brown, and Ruby are all direct sales from the Windstone web site.
I, personally, am waiting for the Gold. 😀
Oh, and the Lap Dragon looks nice with the OW.

haha, another OW fan. We are trying to get Melody to make a black gold, autumn leaf OW. I have heard that she was going to make the em pea one.April 2, 2007 at 3:15 pm #557957purpledoggy wrote:WHERE DID YOU FIND A PEACOCK OLD WARRIOR! ….I think he’s a peacock? He’s a lot like my peacock mama only three times lighter, and his chest is different colored. He’s damaged though, which is why I could even afford him. I just figured he was the most common color in the OW’s since the peacock mama seems to be the most common color, so he’d be the cheapest….?? And, he’s pretty.

I think my checkbook likes the curls more 😆 So does my curio space. But yes, I think I’m an OW fan now, so’s hubby! He’s just crazy about these dragons. It’s kinda cool.

He’s three times lighter than the Mother Dragon?! There might be a problem there. 😕 Is your Mother Dragon extra heavy? He should be three times heavier than her. Actually he weighs 12.46 pounds and she weighs 7.25 pounds (so not quite twice as much). If he’s lighter than 12 pounds, he may be a fake.

His COLOR is lighter, sorry. Weight. Good greif. I thought the mama was a chunk. Hubby joked about getting another OW just because they are prettier than having a weight set around 😯

I think he goes well with the lap dragon, it’s just slightly smaller, and I remember that Melody said somewhere that she thought of the Lap Dragon as a “she”.
April 2, 2007 at 8:43 pm #557964I thought that the lap, scratcher and fledgie went with the OW?
April 2, 2007 at 9:08 pm #557965I have my Lap sitting with my OW. I also think of my fledgies as their family.

I have no idea about the Scratcher, but Melody mentioned in another thread that the Fledgling was the Emperor’s baby.
