So, that ebay winner of the broken oriental would be me. To my defense, despite the fact I was home for thanksgiving away from college, I was using every day to work on a 12-16 page paper, and my 6yr old guinea pig had just died, so I wasn’t exactly in the mood for being on the forum, you know?
I’ve been wanting to repaint a sun to be with my ruby, couldn’t justify paying retail for something I’d strip and repaint, and then this broken guy comes along like a sign from heaven. Wanted him just as much as you. I know the whole upset-fest is already over, but I got a little insulted reading the thread up until now. Instead of throwing an angry response, though, I’ll just say all’s fair in love and ebay. Sorry I didn’t check here first, and honestly sorry you didn’t win, but you can’t just call an auction and expect everyone to hands off.

Ach, don’t take anything I said personally, I was having a really rotten day/weekend as it was. Just venting over the frustration eBay represents in general, I really wish there were more BIN’s for stuff I want, less stress.
I am glad you got him and hopefully you can fix him, Apoxie sculpt is a great product for that, if you need the website for where to get it, just let me know.
It worked out, I couldn’t really afford him anyway, and with luck another one will show up someday. Perhaps I will post something in the Flea market requesting a broken one for the future. Did you ever see that koi oriental painted by Whippet? I want a koi oriental like that someday, which is why I wanted one that was already hurt, so I wouldn’t feel bad about repainting. So I’m with you there.
Anyway, try not to take offense, my post was just a venting, “dang it, not again” kind of thing. Nothing personal, despite the wording of it.
I’m also sorry to hear that your pet died, it’s always rough to lose a pet. *hugs* I hope the dragon makes you feel a bit better when he gets to you.

We had snow this morning too, just a light dusting that melted by noon. But it was pretty while it was falling, between 5am and 7am. Wind is picking up now too, and there are dark clouds on the horizon.

Yep, I’ve been on a get a broken oriental of any type ever since.
But they are so rare, not that I want to see a bunch of broken orientals, but I wish getting my paws on one was easier.
