I had the (can’t say worst) weirdest day at work today. The heat and humidity are really getting to me. I dragged myself into the mall, the closer I got to the store the more tired and draggy I felt. (I’ve been feeling like I’ve had a fever the last few days)
So anyways, I trudge into the office grab my “mail” (piles of paperwork) without going upstairs to put my bag (I don’t carry a purse.) in my locker. I decided to go get the mail, so I grab the mail key then remember that we owe the Mall Office for tableskirts. (Oops, that was only supposed to be paid three weeks ago.) So I stop by the safe pull out the envelope that has the Malls money in it, then I remember that I need to mail letters for the Pharmacy. So I stop by their bin and grab the letters.
So I go get the mail, drop off the money, mail the letters. Realise when I get back that I forgot to grab money to buy more stamps. Oh well, next time. I’m sorting out the mail and come accross a letter that looks like it could be a credit payment. So I open the letter. It’s from a customer that feels guilty because he thought that he made a mistake the week before. He told the cashier that the yogert that he was buying was one dollar cheaper. Anyways he wrote a cheque for one dollar and sent it in. I feel so sorry for him. The guilt must have been bad. (More than likely the yogert really was on sale.)
So long story short. (Sorry for rambling. 😆 ) Today I broke a fan (plugged the fan in, after about three revolutions it died). Broke the computer (tried to email someone and the mail program froze, called help desk and they couldn’t help, now IBM has to come and fix my computer). Broke my phone (I was on hold with the help desk and stretched the cord out to grab bundles of 5s out of the safe, phone falls on the floor and quits working. Starts again after a minute but, I half broke the back off and I can’t get it back on.) Not to mention Brinks didn’t show up today. So I now have two Brinks deposits sitting in the safe. And I needed my coin order. 😥
More happened but, anyways what a day. I’m so happy to be home and sane again. 🙄 Oh ya I forgot, I went upstairs to my locker to get my bag and realise (after having a heart attack thinking I lost my bag) I left it in the General Office! 😆

August 9, 2007 at 1:34 am #607126sounds like you should have stayed in bed for the day!! I just need to get out of here for my 4 day weekend. 9PM can’t get here fast enough
I hope you have a better day tomorrowAugust 9, 2007 at 1:39 am #607127Oh yes, it would have been the perfect day to stay home but, alas my co-worker is on a weeks vacation. I can’t call in this week. Luckally for me someone else is doing my job tomorrow.
(I’m thinking of leaving a big mess on my co-workers desk to show how much I do appreciate her being away. 😆 No I’d never actually do that but, it’s tempting! (Lucky you get a four day weekend. I don’t even know what a weekend is anymore!)
August 9, 2007 at 1:50 am #607128Oh sweetie, Im so sorry you had such a bum day! Seems your Wed. Hump Day was more of a dud and was a Slump Day. If I was there, Id have taken you out for dinner or happy hour or something afterwards. Im sure it was an isolated incident/day and that things will be better tomorrow. Youre in my heart & thoughts sweetie!

I was really worried that I would mail the money as well. And it wouldn’t have come back since the envelope wasn’t addressed! That would have made a real good impression with the managers. “Um Manjit? I don’t know what to do. I’ve lost the money for the Mall for the Table Skirts.” I think in that case I’d have to shell out the $81 and change from my own pocket. 😆
August 9, 2007 at 1:01 pm #607131Sounds like fun, Romeo. I hope your next day at work doesn’t turn out like that.
