January 7, 2008 at 5:50 pm #652980YAY!!! How ya doin?? How the job/house hunting going?
January 7, 2008 at 5:52 pm #652981Yes, I can’t wait for you to get settle somewhere so you can get back to your wonderful painting of Windstones. 😀
January 8, 2008 at 1:50 am #652982Hi! I’m still painting… though I am sad to say that I’m working on a TV tray now instead of having an art desk! Ack. Things are pretty cramped here… it’s me and my husband, 2 parrots, and all of our necessary stuff (including 2 computers and all my art supplies) in one little room!
Job hunting is very discouraging. My husband is having a hard time finding a job… in fact everyone I know that is job hunting is having a hard time! Is anyone else here?
We need to know where he will get a job before we can house hunt, to make sure he doesn’t have to commute more than 60 miles… yikes. Plus, it’s good to have a job to pay for the house! It’s a hurry up and wait sort of deal. :/
But I’m still painting! I’ve got some new goodies in the works…

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 8, 2008 at 1:54 am #652983Oh yes…finding a job is horrible…I’ve been looking for over a year…I’ve survived on temporary jobs…and paining PYO’s…
I do all my PYO’s on a TV tray…LOL…I have no room at all to do anything…
I hope he has luck finding a job soon…I know my problem is location…because of the education I have…and the lack of those jobs here….I’m over qualified for just about anything I go for…
I want to eventually go back up to that areas sometime….but I’ll have to find money first…
January 8, 2008 at 1:58 am #652984My husband is getting the “over qualified” line a lot! It’s disheartening.

I’m sick of my job, all the driving, putting all the miles on my car (10,100 in 6 months X_X) and will be job hunting soon too.
Why is that such a bad thing that your husband is “over qualified”? Doesn’t it just mean he’d be super good at the position he’s applying for?
January 8, 2008 at 6:05 am #652987Good luck to your husband, Nam. Can’t wait to see the new goodies you’re painting. 😀

If you have more education or experience than the job requires, they become afraid that you would get bored and leave. They don’t want to train you in and have you leave right away.
January 8, 2008 at 5:22 pm #652989I hope your hubby finds something soon! Soooo… what new things you got in the works? (Hey, you knew it was gonna come up since you mentioned it:)
