That sounds like a lot of fun. I loved Ireland and I want to go back there, maybe have a vacation home there.
I thought it was a beautiful country ^_^ I need to go back to see more of it since I only really saw Dublin enough to do it justice!
August 2, 2007 at 11:20 pm #591543That sounds like it was loads of fun. I would like to do some traveling to and around europe. The thing is that I don’t really want to do it alone. I don’t have any friends to meet up with though i have some far extended family in Italy.
That’s it!! We have to have a joint venture windstone fans trip to dragon country and all over the world to spread the lore of windstones. We need more believers.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

If you stay at hostels like I did, you meet a lot of interesting and cool people, though it does suck when you are out and about for the day if you don’t find anyone going to the same place because it’s really difficult to exclaim about stuff outloud by yourself LOL
August 3, 2007 at 9:12 pm #591545I remember when I met my sister in England and then we flew to Ireland. We went to this place and stayed in a Hostel. I asked her what is this? I thought it was going to be a hotel room where you had your own room, but it was like a college dorm. I had never been in that situation before so it was a total shock for me. Later on, we stayed in hostels and we had our own room…but Geeze the dorm type thing I would not do again.

Oh that would be a shock of you’re not expecting it! I’ve heard of some rooms in hostels that are like 30 beds in a huge room but I mostly stayed in rooms with 3 bunkbed sets, I found that pretty doable. I had only one problem roommate, who decided it was okay to blowdry her hair every morning at around 7am while people were still sleeping in the room. Luckily she only stayed there two nights! LOL
When I was in Dublin, I stayed at an adorable B+B called Botanic View which was near the Botanic Gardens and it was perfect! This nice lady runs it and she did proper Irish breakfast for everyone each morning and pretty much treated me like family for the week I was there, and I often had tea with her in the evening as she ironed or watched her soaps ^_^ There I had a tiny room to myself, it had all I needed and was far enough away from the bustle of the city that I could sleep well after each busy day 😀

HAHA! I was supposed to go to Scotland this year, but it sort of fell through (oh the exchange rate *wince*), so I postponed it for a trip until either summer 2009 or 2010. I’d be happy to meet up with people who want to go! My friends generally can’t afford it and/or don’t want to do the hiking/walking involved for most of my trips or aren’t as adventuresome on the housing/transportation front.

Yeah, the first place we stayed in had lots of bunk beds probably around 10 of them…so 20 people stayed in a room. I was also very protective of my stuff and I put it in my bunk bed by the wall while I slept. And it was also different because we had to lug our stuff around if we wanted to go somewhere. We also ended renting a car and we stayed in that a couple of times and one night we slept in the airport. Aw, good times.August 6, 2007 at 6:30 pm #591549siberakh1 wrote:BiPolarBear wrote:That sounds like it was loads of fun. I would like to do some traveling to and around europe. LOL Lugging around one’s stuff is definitely the worst part of traveling from place to place, even though my suitcase is wheeled heh heh

Well that is a good idea. Yeah, I think lugging around luggage is definately the worst part of the trip. -
