With my deepest apologies to Clement C. Moore, because I am a complete and utter hack, I present:

Twas The Night Before Halloween

T’was the night before Halloween and all through the inn

Not a creature was stirring, not even a Ki-rin.

The pumpkins were placed on the porch with such care

In hopes that the raffle prize soon would be there.

The wolves were all nestled, so snug in their beds,

And the unis and pegs lay down their sweet heads.

The poads in their clutters, and the bats in the eaves

Bedded down for the night to the scent of fall leaves.

When out on the lawn there arose such a din

That everyone woke and all rushed right in.

And what, do you think, met their curious eyes?

A Pena original spanking new raffle prize!

And we heard her exclaim as she drove out of sight

“Happy Halloween to all, and to all a Good Night!”
