So I’m FINALLY finished with my Akatsuki Keeper. Mind you I WILL NEVER PAINT ONE AGAIN O.O This royally sucked. At least, IF I DO paint one, I’m not basing the whole thing black first >_< Painting red and white on a black base coat was the single dumbest thing I have done while painting I think! LOL! I must have like 17 coats of red on this thing. Anyway, I have an eye dilemma. Metallic? or not metallic? and here he is with the two eye options I have
Regular eyes - it's hard to tell, but these are the regular eyes. I don't like these ones because they are sort of pinkish and don't match the red paint, however the markings are prominent
Metallic eyes – I don’t like the metallic eyes because the markings are less prominate, however the color matches the red better and the metallic just overall looks cooler…. GAH! I don’t know which one to do!
So what do you guys think??? Metallic, or regular?

As always, I’m going the opposite: Metallic. LOL

He looks awesome either way though, and now the rest of us know not to try to paint white or red on a black base! 🙂
LOL! Thanks everyone! Now I’m more confused then ever, hahaha. Maybe I will just not glue them in and see what grows on me.
When it’s not like 10 degrees out I’ll take some better photos with both choices. Maybe that will help.

well, *technically* the regular IS the semi metallic bayou. I almost wish I had just plain regular set now as well, but I only bought the smaller eyes that way like in my little Shukaku Dragon. The semi metallic look like it has “sparkles” in it so it makes the eye look sort of cheap compared to the metallic, but I like how the markings POP right out at you. One of the major reasons I was leaning towards the metallic was because of the large sparkles in the semi metallic eyes. I wonder if dreaming tree is still available to make more sets of them for me? I think I’d prefer just plain old regular eyes ut of them all. I haven’t seen her for a while now and last I knew she was a bit backed up though.
