At the end of the month I’ll finally be ordering my new Macbook Pro. At long last. Perhaps a little earlier than I’d like but I don’t want to end up with the Lion OS that’s coming out this summer and have a bunch of things that don’t work.
Anyway!
MacBook Pro, bought February 2007 for college work.
15in display
120GB HD
2.16 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB 667 Mhz Ram (upgradable to 3, I believe. The kit for two 2GB sticks is about $50)
CD/DVD read/write drive
Webcam up in the monitor frameWill be restoring to factory before it leaves the house, which means it’s going to run 10.4 Tiger. BUT!
I will be including:
Snow Leopard Box Set – 10.6 upgrade, iLife upgrade and iWorks
Adobe Creative Suite 2 Design Premium (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash) – it’s the Education version. I never registered it, and it should be perfectly upgradable to a newer version of the Creative Suite.
Wacom Graphire tablet
Blue Speck caseI have everything that every came with this computer, including the box it came in. Discs, manuals, cables and all. I think I even still have the Apple remote. The battery lasts a couple of hours still and everything is in pretty good shape.
However, because it was a school computer, it’s suffered a few of the cosmetic consequences. The case has a few scratches and dings and most are barely noticeable. At the edges of the screen on the monitor are some discolored areas. You notice them when you have a light colored window hanging out at the edges. They’ve been there almost since I bought the machine and I assume they’re from being carried around a campus in all environments, including the damp. They do not affect your work area in any way, shape or form or I would have fought a much harder battle with Apple to get the screen replaced.
I don’t have any photos at the moment, and I won’t be selling/shipping until the end of May/early June, when I have the new computer in hand and all my files are squared away, as it’s still my primary machine.
I am asking $1000 for it all though I may entertain offers. I’m not exactly looking to trade, but if you want to offer something up, I suppose the worst I can do is say no. If you’re interested but need some sort of payment plan, let me know, we can work something out.
I do NOT want to go to ebay with this mess, so if you know someone, boost the signal! Thanks much guys!
