Hey there folks!
I joined today because I’ve got myself a little dragon family that I am quite excited to have. But, I actually dont’ intend to keep them! As gorgeous as these are (even though at the moment, they’re covered in dust) I’d rather paint my own.
So, this lovely dragon family (4 statues, all the same peacock color with the end of the muzzle being green) will evetually be being sold, once I clean them up and get them presentable. Sadly, whoever had them did not keep them clean, so they’ve got a good bit of dust build up. I’m excited to see what they look like under all the grime!
I’ve been a fan of Windstone for some years…sadly I no longer have my original, which was one of the big winged wolf tealight holders. Windstone pieces are so gorgeous…I’m super-excited about getting a few PYO pieces to work on myself.
Anyways, I won’t ramble on too much. I’ll be hunting around in the forums. I see there are many many good topics about how to clean these dragons, so I’m looking forward to cleaning them using what I find here on the forums.

Here you go.

My art: featherdust.comJune 7, 2014 at 11:53 pm #913792Oooh…a forum without an edit button. Forgive me while I bumble around trying to figure things out (and while I go read the Read This First sticky for the forums).
Right now though, I should share a picture of these dusty dragons. Hopefully I’m doing this right! I edited the size to be proper sized, and followed the instructions.
Edit, okay fine, apparently it doesn’t like me. Let’s see if just posting a link will work: http://imgur.com/SPoKuhV

June 8, 2014 at 7:05 am #913801Hi and welcome! Nice peacock family there. I wish you luck with getting ’em cleaned, sold, and taking on some PYOs! You ought to have a blast at the forum.
And there is indeed an edit button. 😉
Formerly had the Batman & Joker avatar!
June 8, 2014 at 9:49 am #913809Hi and welcome! It’s not too hard to clean dusty pieces. When I got some dirty ones I put them in my bath tub, rinsed them off with the shower hose, put some liquid soap on a wet soft micro-fibre cloth and wiped them all over and then rinsed them again with a light stream all over and then took them out, put them on a towel and wiped them with a dry micro-fibre cloth and let them completely air dry. Hope you can clean them good and sell them! Also, if you start a new thread you can edit it from the top of the thread. If you post a comment on a thread you can edit it from a button under your comment.
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
June 8, 2014 at 12:16 pm #913814Hello and Welcome! I usually wash my Windstones on a Delicate cycle and then a NO HEAT fluff dry to bring out the feathers.(LOL)!! Only kidding! 😀 Hope you have fun here, and enjoy painting the PYO sculpts. 😉 …… 8)
