Still a massively BRIGHT work in progress….but I just cant get the head right…. It was much darker of a blue before and it looked silly against the straw yellow. I do like it the lighter blue, but the tail and wings are so bright it takes the attention away from his head…any suggestions?

I was thinking of adding some of the pink on the crest or the neck scales, but I honestly was going for a blend from light to dark, but it’s not working out the way I have envisioned in my head. Gah!!! I just want to repaint the whole thing!

What about painting the nose a darker blue, like the blue on the back of his front leg? Can you do a blend where the nose is dark, then the middle of the face a medium blue, then a lighter blue to the neck? I like the way he looks, by the way!

I agree with Purpledragonclaw, making the nose darker and blending to the lighter blue would bring some attention back to his face 🙂

possibly white, or white/ yellow on the crest? that would lighten it and also make the crest stand out a bit more.

I LOOOOVE bright colors and are especialy partial to these blue ocean sunset themed colors! *swoons*

You need to tie it together by putting some pink somewhere one the head. I think blending that line of scales under the eye from pink to tan/yellow should do the trick.

Me, I would stick with yellows and blues only; the pink/purple is what’s taking my attention away.

I wouldn’t touch the pink or purple. If you remove it the impression of this dragon changes from “OMG SUNSET” to “OMG BLUE AND GOLD MACAW?!”
