Copper is sold, thank you!
twin…just go for it! In my opinion, powders are much easier to work with. I feel I have alot more control with powders, be they pastels or metallic pigments. I also feel the blending of colors and shading makse more sense to me with powders then with paint. I dunno, I can’t explain it. I guess I’m more intune to the gradual process of pastelling. Go for it, really! The pastels and the pearl ex pigments are ‘realativly’ inexpesive and a little goes a long way!
January 18, 2008 at 10:34 am #656960The commission and the black ones are beautiful. The black one makes me think of crushed blackberries.
January 25, 2008 at 9:23 pm #656961Oh… I just got my blue & white & named her Twilight… Just beautiful! Thank You so much, when I can scrape together more moola I want another pastel like that… or maybe the “berry” one in keeper form (I know you weren’t totally happy with it but I think it turned out beautiful!) π
January 26, 2008 at 12:13 am #656962Glad you like her! When you are ready for the keepers, just PM me!
the black dragon is still available if anyone is interested….
January 27, 2008 at 3:44 pm #656963here are 2 new ones, a keeper and a little guy. The little purple dragon I did with my airbrush. he is a combo of purple and gray w/ a lavender grey metallic powder coat. He also has grey eyes & silver leaf accents. He isn’t my best work, but still really pretty.
The Keeper is gorgeous in real life. These photos don’t do her justice. I base coated w/ my airbrush in white, did a coat of pearl white and then got out the pastels. All the blue is done in pastel, 2 different shades. Oops, forgot, the silvery blue is a pearl ex powder. she has silver leaf talons & other accents. Her silver leaf is NOT sealed w/ acrylic gloss, so it will not turn yellow as I previously paniced about(thanks Jennifer!).
Both are up for offers, PM is interested.
January 27, 2008 at 4:30 pm #656964The Keeper looks wonderful! I love his colors… very much like ice. The one thing that is -kinda- weird to me is the total lack of color on the back of the wings XD
And I like the little purple guy! I like him a lot.
January 27, 2008 at 5:08 pm #656965Taking photos really helps me sometimes to notice stuff like the back of the wings. They do look really flat in the pics, but I didn’t notice it in realy life….thanks!
January 27, 2008 at 7:50 pm #656966I like them both! Well Done!!! π
I try to go over my PYO’s with a fine tooth comb… I try not to leave anything out! LOL π Sometimes I catch everything and sometimes I don’t! π
January 27, 2008 at 8:11 pm #656967Very pretty: -)

I didn’t forget to paint the back of the wings. They are a pearly metallic white, like the rest of the dragon. What I meant was that in real life, it doesn’t look bad, but I don’t like how it looked in the photograph….
January 27, 2008 at 8:34 pm #656969I was wondering when we’d get to see a Keeper done by you! He’s lovely!
Now, where is everyone else’s???

Heehee… oh I know that it is painted! I can see the pearly white… what I am talking about is the little areas that sometimes don’t take the paint… NOT saying that yours is missing any, just making chit chat! π
January 27, 2008 at 9:21 pm #656971Wow, I really like the Keeper! I love blues, and the cool shades with the silver and white look awesome.
I’ve been looking around here at everyone’s work to get inspiration for mine, but I won’t be seeing him until mid-February when I go home for Reading Week. Even then I’ll have a little guy to paint first, work out the rust before I tackle the big guy π
January 28, 2008 at 4:10 am #656972The Keeper is so cute! The silver accents go really well. The blue scales on the neck look like they shimmer like the inside of a sea shell. How pretty!
