I p ainted this for lamortefille.. a Salmon colored PYO keeper…
I started with pink and orange paint pens and detailed all the scales and little spines on the scales.. then used a salmon orange and then overlayed a salmon pink, then used burnt orange, golden pink and then overlayed with a transparent sparkle then a lighter salmon pink and then used gold interference, orange interference and violet interference and antiqued with a salmon pink burnt orange and salmon orange mix.. and finally used 18k gold leaf and finished off by popping in the orange eyes, topaz jewel and a pink one to hold in the front claw.. LOL
this is how the dragon wanted to look.. it’s not what I started out with in my head.. but it looks really cool.. and of course is a whole lot better looking in person…
without flash..

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJuly 30, 2009 at 11:51 pm #777357you’d have to see it in person.. the orange is just perfect with the color..
pink would be too monotone.. and well red would be ooky.. and none of the blues would look good.. maybe the straw colored eyes.. because of all the gold..
but the orange really work especially with all the other orange shades in it..

This is when we bemoan once again the difficulty of taking PYO pics. 😀

I have 2 of Frozen’s unicorns, and yup, they look even better in person than they did on the pics!
