No kidding. My Beast is 17 years old, and I thought that was old. But 25 years for your kitty. Wow, that’s unique 🙂 .
October 12, 2009 at 11:43 pm #786331We’ve had a few Flap Cats already for the raffles. How about a specially painted Flion this time around? That is if Melody has anymore, that is 😳 .
October 13, 2009 at 2:58 am #786332One of my kitties lived until almost 20 and my neighbors cat is 16 and doesn’t look a day over 5 😛 I think it isn’t so unusual for cats to have long life spans. Good news for us kitty lovers. I would love to see a flion also but i dont think Melody has anymore. If she does have one or two more I bet they are already destined for ebay. My ote is for an equine, it seems like its been a while since we had one of those 😀
October 13, 2009 at 3:40 am #786333I vote for a kirin, actually. I don’t think we’ve ever seen one of those as a raffle, have we?
A flion would be really cool though!!! 😀

That’s what I was thinking. Something completely different from what we’ve had so far. Of course, it all depends on what Melody has on hand to offer. You know it’s gonna be cool whatever it is 😉 .October 13, 2009 at 5:37 am #786335I’d suggest raffling a Spectral, but I’d be very, very sad if I didn’t win it. 😛

My hubby and I are very blessed to still have Sigmund Froyd, “Siggy” he has always been what I would term a “personal assistant type kitty” he helps you read by laying in the middle of whatever your reading…help you clean your ears out by sticking his nose in your ear canal in the middle of the night just to purr and help vibrate the wax loose, makes for easy cleaning with a q-tip…those kinds of things. It tears my heart to know that he will never hear my voice or see me again BUT he can sure smell me! 😆
I have taken exceptional care of him, especially lately. He is not ready to “Go to Sleep” because he does not act as if he is in any type of pain. I will not let him suffer he has been such a wonderful part of our family…and to think I got him from the SPCA when he was just 2 months old… 8)
Thank you for the thoughts and I am saddened to know that I will eventually have to post his passing from our lives, though we have had many many wonderful years together.
As always, any prize Melody chooses will be special because she basically gives it away, a choice from her heart…If it is not a dragon I will not enter unless it is something that really speaks to my heart…a kitty perhaps, just depends…Good Wishes to all who do enter!
October 13, 2009 at 12:37 pm #786337and yes, I have plastic over my leather…Siggy’s claws do not retract, it is extra protection. You should see how thick the comforter is on the water bed, and yes, we live our lives around his, 😆
October 13, 2009 at 12:43 pm #786338Aw, look at that sweet boy! 😀 Lunar, your post mad me laugh at his antics and want to cry at the inevitability of his passing. Pets are such wonderful members of the family.
Purpleturtle, 17 years is an amazing age, too. That’s wonderful!
Give those seniors some pettings and a treat from me. 😉
October 13, 2009 at 12:58 pm #786339Hubbys cat Casper is 16ish, he was a stray when hubby found him so dont really know his age, the cat has been with him longer than I have, and i fear what it will be like when he goes. I have a 15 year old dog as well and a 13 year old one, we could have a really rough time coming to us 😥 , I will be surprised if I have Ruffian, the 15 year old, past this winter to tell the truth, and then it will be a matter of seeing if Tonka can even live without her. Never again will I get pets close in ages it sucks.
October 13, 2009 at 1:07 pm #786340Wow, you have a couple of seniors, too, ruffian:) Treats and pettins for them, too. I know what you’re saying about having pets close in age. Except for a two, all of my cats are around the same age. *sigh*
Sorry! Any prize will be cool and we appreciate your generosity Mel!

October 14, 2009 at 2:59 pm #786343I apologize as well, sqeaking to meowing…forgive us Melody, back to sqeaking… squeek*
October 14, 2009 at 8:30 pm #786344I love cats but real cats, in statue I prefer Dragon . But I admit, today it’s hard to find real Dragons. ^^
