Bob from BT- we just created a new category in the store called mark down. Whenever we get damaged stuff, we’ll list it there and notify you guys first. Theres some pretty decent deals on some real rare stuff—oh yeah we just received another bad shipping job on some awesome pieces, most were fixable and some look great. If a forum member buys you’ll get another 5 dollars off the price, but prices are not currently negotiable

How do we specify that we’re from the forum at check-out time?
March 18, 2007 at 6:55 pm #553123ooh sweeeet! personally, i highly recommend NOT FIXING the repairs unless it was a part about to fall off, as at least we folks on the forum are artistically inclined to a greater or lesser extent and could fix them ourselves. you could offer to fix them after purchase for someone who is not artistically inclined. for example, the peacock kinglet and young oriental noses look rough (in my tiny drop in the windstone world bucket of opinions) for gosh sakes no offense as i am a TOUGH critic. it might end up being more work for someone who wants to make it as perfect as possible to fix a less than flawless repair if you know what i mean… thats awesome though that you are offering those- thats a great deal and it gets you some money back! i’d love the ow if i had money! lol! looks like you have a DARK young oriental too! holy cow! those we weren’t even sure those existed!! wow! thats incredible!!!! congrats on that find!!
March 18, 2007 at 7:14 pm #553124are the young peacock oriental noses supposed to be black?
March 18, 2007 at 7:24 pm #553125That is an absolutely awesome idea! I do agree with TF, though, I would rather fix a piece myself. I’m interested in one of said items; I just have to hassle my minister of finances 😉
So where to we indicate that we’re forum material?
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.

Where do we see waht you have??
March 18, 2007 at 7:54 pm #553127I don’t generally do the fixes-many items are sold to me as mint—we’ve had that all before haven’t we. I just had to do that cat, though he’s not purrrrrrrrfect he’s by no means embarrassing either. But overall the md category should make our lives a little easier and give forum members first crack
March 18, 2007 at 7:56 pm #553128yes the young orientals noses are black- the other side of the nose appears to be original- its just one nostril that was evidently worked on- and frankly anyone with just a smidge of talent should be able to make it mint
March 18, 2007 at 7:57 pm #553129phew! i was worried i was going to get crucified! lol! i feel better now i’m not to only one that feels that way! aww poo, the warriors are gone already. i’m waiting on peeps to pay me, otherwise i would have…
on the color of the oriental nose… it is dark ..it is almost black but with a blue quality on the dark oriental (and rather matte) and brushed on moderately on the bright one. not say “ivory black” like straight out of a tube though, but a duller “prussian” blue black.the touch up looks like an ivory black from the tube, but thats casually looking on my dark monitor.
also, at least on the kinglet i have here his nose is dusty purple, just like on the other hatching royalty and fledgling, not gold.makes sense that they would all match.. though the emerald kinglet has gold/yellow on his nose..

thats my two cents again.[/img]March 18, 2007 at 7:58 pm #553130blue go into the store and look at the category list on the left side and click on markdown/sale- any discounted goodies will be put there. From time to time we’ll post anything from junk to some real hotties that have minor fixes etc

Oh 😀 I’ll keep an eye, I like that Kinglet baby, how cute. I love those peacock colors. I’m still thinking about buying that other dragon from you. Hubby needs a raise 😕 😕
March 18, 2007 at 8:02 pm #553132speaking wiht experince BT’s damages are often better than other’s MINT, and even if it has damage, the ones i got shipped last week there was NO skimping on packaging just because it already had damage some sellers will do that
BT knows
and major thanx for the oppertunities to purchase again !March 18, 2007 at 8:04 pm #553133I don’t get into the real artsy aspects, so to ask me about specifics on paint jobs, I can’t really help, definitely not my forte, other members with some talent feel free to chime in when I’m posed with an artsy question–please
Most of these pieces have aspects such as painting color and quality that can be redone relatively easy. So good luck guys, doesn’t look like things will last too long…..
March 18, 2007 at 8:06 pm #553134You never know what I’ll wind up with so thanks for the compliment and hopefully a few people really get something out of this
