Mos Def. I just took it a little personal because someone has walked off with Princess (IMO)… probably thinking they are doing the bunny a favor… and not even bothering to take it to the HS to see if someone is missing her. I am on the other end of a situation like yours so I can look at it completely differently. I have NO DOUBT the cat will have a stable home with you and you will love her. I just didnt want some poor owner out searching for her and coming up blank because you never filed a found report with the local HS. 🙂
I am also happy for you, and that you can register her in your name now, I do wonder why the chip company never told that to the vet?
She is pushing the envelope on some things but I think it’s because she is still in the adjustment stage. It’s funny since she seems to be bossing around Nala who WAS the bottom of the food chain as the youngest/newest but Sarabi is now the youngest/newest. I wonder how long it’s going to take Nala to figure that out, or if she ever will.

I got 2 cameras at Long’s since they where buy one get one free, with 27 pics each
I was going to try and get some pics of Drgnlvrs collection tomorrow and some new ones of my kids
I can get a disc once I get them developed at work and maybe then someone can call me over the phone and guide me thru how to post themI had my kittens Shifty & Swifty stolen from me, (it was my cat Shady’s brother & sister)I never found out who it was, but at the time my sister was dealing with a lot of people who were coming in and out of our house for “illegal” reasons and most of them weren’t the honest type if you know what I mean. They were all Seal point, Birman, Manx crosses so they were all BEAUTIFUL kittens! One night after some customers left the house the kitties were all gone, and only Shady was left because he was actually sleeping with me in my room at the time. The other babies were in a playpen in the kitchen so there is no way they “escaped”
Even though I knew they were gone and 99.9% they would never be returned I still made every effort to try and find them. So the basic point of my rambling, DM, I am glad you are rehoming Sarabi. I would question wether the cat was simply microchipped by the breeder and maybe the owner dumped her. Hey, maybe not, but it’s not like you didn’t make any effort to find the owner. I am also glad she will find a new loving home with you. She seemed to have adopted you from the start. I think that’s a sign in itself.
On a side note, my dog is microchipped. I didn’t do it, I bought him that way. The company went under after a few months later. I never even knew he was micorchipped until his first vet visit, but he’s not microchipped to me. There is no data on the chip at all. 😕

Well, to be honest, I was only like 11 years old at the time, but I called all the shelters and posted pathetic reward posters with crayon all over the neighborhood. We all know they got stolen by some druggies though. I only hope they got sold to good owners and not tortured. I still have Shady though. My pretty old boy. We just celebrated Bubbas’s 21st birthday last week too. He’s drinking age now 😀
Oh yea, and Ein’s microchip is pretty useless. My vet was supposed to get back to me about it but he never did. I missed my appointment for new shots so I haven’t been wanting to call him back. 😳
