Boyohs are headed out to Scouts but they’ve both been wondering and talking about a new sculpt they’d like to see, so I said I’d ask for ’em 😳 E & S absolutely love your griffy chicks, especially the crouchers (I prefer the sitters). They’d like to know if you had ever considered doing a griffy chick that is all curled up asleep like kittens do 😀 Like this:

May 28, 2010 at 3:43 pm #815854Perhaps I should begin a new thread about hippogriffs. Who wouldn’t want a zorse or a quagga hippogriff? I loved Melody’s hippogriff sculpt. Maybe one day she’ll pursue the production of a hippogriff family based on this sculpt after the Windstone staff has finished the preparations necessary to make her phoenix either a PYO or a production piece. I don’t know where they currently are in the process, can anyone fill me in? Is the phoenix going to be exclusively a PYO?
Here is Melody’s anthro wolf lady alongside Christy’s artwork that reminded me of it:

June 1, 2010 at 2:06 am #815857Regarding your comment in your blog, Melody, about the long neck on the dragon cat sculpt bothering you: could the problem be resolved by giving the critter something of a scaly or furry mane? Not necessarily as full as a proper lion’s mane; more like a rooster’s hackle. That would thicken the neck, soften the arch and blend it where it meets the shoulders, and overall make it look less “snaky.” Just a thought. You could even have some fun giving it tufty cheeks and a beard-tuft!
. . . jeeminy crickets, I just described an Ameraucana rooster. I gots chickens on the brain . . . . 😳
