Boyohs are headed out to Scouts but they’ve both been wondering and talking about a new sculpt they’d like to see, so I said I’d ask for ’em 😳 E & S absolutely love your griffy chicks, especially the crouchers (I prefer the sitters). They’d like to know if you had ever considered doing a griffy chick that is all curled up asleep like kittens do 😀 Like this:

May 25, 2010 at 11:48 pm #815834Oh KITTY! Too cute 😀 .
May 26, 2010 at 12:15 am #815835cgfhfgh adorable kitties! 😀
I’m having trouble picturing what a griffin would look like curled up, though.
May 26, 2010 at 1:34 am #815836That kitten is so cute, but i also am having a hard time imagining what that would look like. If anyone could pull it off though it would be Melody 🙂

That first one looks like my cat Sarge… he puts a paw across his face to block the light.
Windstone collector in remission. 😉
May 26, 2010 at 2:23 pm #815838Very cute! Although, I think I’d rather have a hatching griffy chick – rump in a shell and a fragment for a hat?
A Flion cub might be easier to curl up (hint, hint!).We’re all very good at telling her what she should sculpt, aren’t we?
May 26, 2010 at 4:28 pm #815839That second one is just beyond adorable.

I love your hatching idea Thrippa! 🙂 I lot of people are crazy for dragoncats as well, I wonder if Melody has ever considered designing and sculpting one? You know, a hybrid with horns and either fur or scales. (It wouldn’t resemble a bat-winged Flap Cat or Gargoyle)

I think that Melody knows Christy Grandjean (a.k.a. *Goldenwolf) and has exchanged art with her, no? Melody once sculpted an anthro wolf lady that reminded me a lot of Christy’s artwork.

No. That is because my #1 rule for sculpting creatures is never to hide their faces!
I’ve done curled up creatures (but with their faces showing), of almost every kind, but I haven’t done a baby griffin.May 27, 2010 at 9:20 pm #815846Zephyr wrote:Adorable pics twindragonsmum! 😀

Yes indeed I have been trying to do a decent dragon cat or “Tatzel worm” for years, in fact I did a big sculpture of one in High School. It is still packed -somewhere. Mine is ugly though- not beautiful like those!
Ha, I just found one of the many little dinky dragon cats I sculpted, It was supposed to be in pewter. I’ll see if I can post a pic this evening, if the picture I took isn’t totally out of focus. My camera has been crapping out lately…arggg -
