          I got the chick out of the nest today to examine him/her and from the looks of it the father might have been the brown and yellow canary not the orange. It’s still a little too soon to tell for sure but there is alot of brown feathers on him and some white in the wings and yellow. 😕

                      But this guy also got to her in the dark and when I turned the light on he immediately realized his mistake (not his mate) and Pecked her and pushed her down. From the baby’s feathers this would be the father:
