Just want to say I have NO hostility toward anyone, and that the forum is a great place for anyone to voice their opinion and air things out, and it should really be no holds barred. There was not a single ridiculous thing said, I just hope my replies made some semblance of sense- and as you can see I can’t write worth a lick either.

The forum would be useless if a member could not come on and say what they felt at any time.

    Amen

DM you are a wonderful, thank you, and Honestly I feel better since I aired my dirty laundry in full view, but I knew mixing bus and pleasure would not be easy.

HEY we have all had those days where all we want to do is log on and vent so that just makes you part of the family. I hope you do not have too many more shipping HORROR stories. We need as many MINT Windstones as we can get!!

well, I never meant to start a ten page debate! I was just stating an opinion and as everyone can tell, forum members are very opinionated! 😆 ! no hard feelings?

OH yes we are!! And it’s only 4 pages not 10!! hehehehe

ok this is the worst horror story of all– when the thread started to take shape I wanted to reply before thing got totally out of hand, so I took about 2 hours to write my reply –you see how long it is– and when I hit submit , I got logged out and it dropped the whole response- imagine trying to write War and Peace over again- well thats what it felt like to me-
it was worse than some of my shipments

I hate the fact that we get logged out here especially when you are typing something. I can understand if you are not being active but when you are actaully doing something it’s irritating

cosidering my putrid typing skills it is/was my worst nightmare, Tina is a computer wiz but was kinda shook up at the time–she feels better now and is trying to get the kiddies to sleep–oh they hate to sleep

Tf—— I honestly think the clerks or customers in stores break these things all the time and the clerk glues tham back together so they won’t get in trouble from the owner or manager—-I see that all the time noses put back on, wings glued on, things repainted using nail polish, your basic train wrecks, some of it is comical, and you know it was done by a 16 year old clerk who came to work after spending 7 hours at the nearest bong festival

I think what she’s saying is that she’s worried now that the stores we *can* get retired pieces from for less when we post them here for each other, you’re going to beat us to the punch.

That is exactly what i was trying to say. i am currently a graduate student who does not make much money. (honestly, at this rate, i will probably not be able to truely afford another one until i get my phd.)

on one hand, i kind of see this forum as a community of Windstone lovers and enthusiasts who enjoy the statues and understand the love and priceyness of the pieces. some people are altruistic in that they tell others where they can purchase the harder to find pieces so that the love can be spread out. (yes, this is hokey sounding, but i am trying to sound positive)

on the other hand, i understand you have to live and have this business.

but there is a conflict here between the two. and–to keep up the hokey analogy–the love will stop flowing, or at least be stiffled.

I know exactly what you mean. My mother had bought me the fledging in black-gold last year and when it was brought home I noticed it had a little chip on one of its front claws. So i brought it back asking for an exchange and the clerk gave a me a little bit of a hard time. It was exchanged but a few weeks later i noticed the chipped dragon in the case with the chip that was missing glued on. I did not like that. I now always check my pieces very carefully before buying.

I miss all the cool stuff! 😆 We are gonna have to realize that this forum is gonna turn us into the hungry-hungry hippos. When someone posts a find, first come, first serve. We cant hate on people just cuz they got there first. (Who will win? No one knows!) We DO have the PM feature, if you only want to tell a specific person. Just use that. I am assuming all the rainbows are gone? Cuz I need the male.

I’ve been calling, but so far, everyone is out.

sooo many places i call and don’t have a clue what i am talking about :O I did just grab the em/ ow from bt … it’s my late late valentinesday / birthday gift to myself. i doubt you’ll see me buying much more tbh because i can’t afford the emeralds and NO ONE seems to have emerald dragons every local joint i called dosn’t deal with them any more (or can’t afford to carry dragons) and has no clue what they have. even the ones who did. I probably burnt up more than enough gas in the searching i did locally to pay for a piece or 2 this last month lol. BT i know you’re doing what you need and some of us will love you and some of us will hate you for it lol me, i guess i’ll be much happier, if you can work out a layaway …. i feel better buying an expensive piece when i can pay it in 4 months and take the shock factor out lol, plus i can’t afford to just drop a whole paycheck every month on one windstone, too often. i spent too much this last month and a half and i know it will come back to me but i couldn’t help myself. i think now i have close to 800 in windstones on layaway i keep adding because i’m terrified someone (bt) 😛 will snap them up before i can pay them in full .. (just kidding) but no kidding aside i had no idea in the years i backed from windstones that emerald had been retiered … when i found out i cried looking at prices. and i didn’t think peacock could ever be retired. so i missed alot.. and i’ll pay, pray, and go w/o till i win the lotto then i can buy all of us what we want

i have missed a fair share of rainbows because the one place that does carry them held them, waiting for a employee’s mum to put them on layaway hardly fair, but oh well. i did get the mother and male but nothing young, and any websites i called seem confused about the colors in general or have nothing at all like thier site claims i see a few helpful hints but now i’m broke .. hah and i expect they will be gone before i get paid again. i am happy i found this forum and maybe i’ll get a piece off here now and then i understand a reseller because i have delt with it for years in the modle horse hobby .. you buy something to resell it hoping you can make a bit of money to buy another thing from someone else you couldn’t find course my best intentions i buy a guy to resell and find myself unable to part with it i have not in any way found enough pices anywhere that seem rare to offer them out to the group usually if i do find something i want it ! and i will blame you all for getting me hooked on the orientals i would have offered or resold because now i gotta keep em
