Phoenix, I hope you don’t let one person (God, I hope it was just one person) ruin the forum for you. There is nothing wrong with re-selling your pieces and I thought your prices were very fair. Lots of people have sold pieces on the forum. And it doesn’t matter WHY you were selling them – we live in a free market world. Please come back!
Agreed! With ddvm, drag0nfeathers, kitsunelady, starbreeze and everyone else who is supporting you.
You may be, to use your own description, “opinionated” but you have never been unkind.
Please, Phoenix, don’t let this drive you away from the Forum.

My thoughts exactly…
Everyone has already said it… but seriously? Your starting prices were VERY reasonable. I’ve seen people buy an LP here and put it up on ebay with a mark up of 200%. If you don’t like the price, don’t buy it.
I’m curious to know who even PMed you with such nonsense…
August 4, 2008 at 10:14 pm #726167Hi, Phoenix,
I agree with everyone here. You are free to sell them any way you chose, I don’t know who said this to you but it was mean and that person is probable jelous.
Don’t let yourself being push out.
Please relist your items for sale.It is not exploiting Melody’s work if it sells for more. Don’t old retired pieces go for alot more then the original price? That is not concidered exploiting.
It is expected to be more since they are retired same as LP. If they are rare or limited aren’t we all willing to pay more?August 4, 2008 at 10:36 pm #726168Everyone has brought up very valid points. I hope that you won’t be swayed from the forum just because of one person’s ignorance. Like ddvm said (I hope it WAS only one!)
I’d like to see where you are going to get any of those pieces you listed any cheaper then what you were asking for the starting prices! Especially Limited Productions and retired pieces! Emerald hatchers are buy it now’s on ebay for between 2 and 3 hundred dollars and Jennifer already stated many of the Limited Procuductions are DONE. Especially the signed ones. *shakes head* It’s such a shame someone made you feel this way. To be honest, I was shocked you weren’t asking more. Let someone find an Emerald Scratcher in even half way decent condition for less then $150 bucks. Phhhht! Good luck!

You can sell your pieces for whatever you think you can get for them. I was going to ask about the Coiled Male, but I thought someone else was looking for one. Please contact me if you still want to sell. Don’t let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch.
August 4, 2008 at 11:12 pm #726170I am also new on this forum, and whoever put in the objection is the one who should be shy of posting, not Phoenix! I don’t know any of you at all, not even your reputations on this forum, but most of what I have read is people supporting other people, and that’s the way it should be. I almost feel that if you aren’t willing to post your comments for everyone to read, you shouldn’t put them in a PM, either. Aside from transacting business, PM has little use. This is a social forum, meaning made up of a group of people with similar interests, not just two. If something is posted that does not appeal, ignore it. This is called the “Flea Market”, which to me means a place to sell whatever you want, for whatever reason, stated or not. If a forum member wants to make some money, that’s perfectly fine. If no one wants to pay the asking price(s), that’s fine, too! I was “bidding” on Phoenix’s items, and now I’m disappointed. Is it fair that one person should be able to disappoint so many others with inappropriate expressions of opinion? I don’t think so… Come back, Phoenix, and with your head held HIGH!!! :0)
August 4, 2008 at 11:28 pm #726171I totally agree with everyone else, I hope you come back Phoenix….I personally thought that your prices were reasonable and I am really sorry that someone has ruined this for you.
I really hope that you do stay on the forum, I love your PYO’s and it would be a real shame if you left, as you can probably tell already there are quite a few of us that don’t want to see you go. 🙂 And I am one of them… 😉I still think that it is a real shame that this happens on here but I guess we just have to deal with it.

August 4, 2008 at 11:39 pm #726172I agree with what everyone else has said! Ditto and all that other stuff… There have been times I’ve seen people offer things and went “well, if someone really wants it that bad”… but it didn’t offend me. And I look at ebay that way too… Of course, people probably look at what I’ve spent on a couple of things and went “jeezum pete!!”… So do whatever you want, but my offers stand, and just to rub a nose (or noses) in it, I’ll even up my offers if you decide to change your mind. So BOO to them!
August 4, 2008 at 11:44 pm #726173This is totally ridiculous!! 👿 It isn’t anyone’s business but you why you want or need to sell. If they don’t like the price, then that is their problem and should keep it to themselves.
Please come back, you have a lot of people who care about you (I’m one).
August 5, 2008 at 12:12 am #726174Dragonlairqueen has an excellent point – Windstone supports a flea market on their forum knowing full well people use it to re-sell Windstones. If it doesn’t bother Melody or John who is ANYONE to say different.

Exactly! 🙂 You’ve not done one thing wrong here. So don’t let ’em get you down, Phoenix! You’re well loved, and we all want you to stick around without fear. *hugs*

I have to say, I disagree. I’ll edit myself right now, but I will say, there are times when things are better said in PMs to prevent threads turning into a battleground. When members go the public instead of private route, it sometimes ends in Nam needing to lock the thread, or at the very least, frown at us while she downs alcohol (I really have no idea about the downing alcohol part, but I wouldn’t be surprised at the frowning part ). Plus, I have had many a friendly (and private!) conversation with members in PM. So it’s not just for business transactions. 😉
Anyways, Phoenix, you shouldn’t let the comment of one person decide whether you continue the sale or not. It’s just their opinion. If yours differs, and you are not doing anything technically wrong or illegal, just keep on selling. If I had any monies, I’d sure would have been inquiring about the potential sale of your Ki-Rin by UnicornLvr. But, atlas, I’m broke 🙁 I hope you’re not going to be staying away too long! How could you, with all these members begging for you to come back 😉 (come back!)
August 5, 2008 at 2:07 am #726177Wow, I’m sorry Phoenix. I thought your asking prices were reasonable. Please don’t let an ignoramus drive you away from the forums.
August 5, 2008 at 4:22 am #726178I gotta say I agree with everyone here. What crap. I didnt even see what you were selling or for how much, but having seen Windstone LP items bought in multiple and put up on Ebay at inflated prices before the paint has even dried has pretty much numbed me to anything. Its your buisness and anyone who says otherwise should take a step back. I understand the frustration, believe me. Do I think its right to buy out the store and resell on Ebay at double the cost? No. But do I have to buy it? No. Does it piss me off if it was a small batch and someone else who is in it for the money got to it first? Yes, but I will live. The early bird and the worm or what not. Dont take off because someone got angry. It happens and hopefully they will cool down and apologize. 🙂 It wasnt me this time 😛
August 5, 2008 at 5:27 am #726179I agree with draco too, most of us on here are your friends (at least I would consider you one), some people are just petty. 🙄
If things got really bad for me, I might sell some of my stuff, and some of that would break my heart (though none of them are particularly hard to come by) to sell, as they were mostly gifts.
I’m sure you had a good reason to sell, and I’m sure you had a good reason to pull them out of the sale.
