Apparently because a lot of my sale items were newer and LP stuff, I am being told I’m just a low life trying to make money of of Melody’s hard work.
Ya know, I’ve tried to be supportive of everyone, though I tend to be opinionated sometimes. But for the most part, if someone needed something or wanted information, or wanted help in doing special stuff for other people, I was there.
I’m super upset right now, and I’m sure I’ll get over it, but wanted to give everyone who was asking for a piece a reason why they are no longer for sale.
I’ll be scarce for awile and wish you all the best.
so many of us have come on here and have done the same thing.theres nothing wrong with what you are doing.
you were offering pieces that are very hard to come by right now and you started them, in my opinion ,at very low starting prices.if anybody had a problem then they shouldnt bid on them.
but to send you pm’s about how you shouldnt be doing it ,well i think that people should just keep to themselves.as i wrote in my pm to you.
if they cant say somthin nice then they shouldnt say anything at all.
you have friends here so dont disappear on us.i just wanted to let you know that some of us are on your side and i didnt want you to feel like you were alone.I agree with dracco. 😉
August 4, 2008 at 8:31 pm #726151I’m with Dracco on this one . If someone was selling something & I thought the price was too high then I just wouldn’t offer on it . Having bought from Phoenix before I cannot recommend her highly enough & I for one thought the starting prices of her sale VERY reasonable – what happened after that is out of her hands & surely depends on what us on the Forum feel it’s worth to us . I collect because I like a piece but I don’t have a problem with the value of Windstones increasing – surely that’s a positive thing for ALL of us collectors . I personally don’t have limitless funds and choose to collect retired & limited production pieces rather than just a few OOAK pieces & am grateful for people on the Forum like Phoenix who give me the chance to add to that collection .
August 4, 2008 at 8:31 pm #726152I agree with dracco 100%. I can’t understand what made your sale any different from anyone else’s, and this is a FLEA MARKET section after all!
I hope you don’t stay away too long!
August 4, 2008 at 8:35 pm #726153I also agree with dracco. I don’t see that you did anything different or wrong. Don’t let one bad apple spoil the whole bushel…..
August 4, 2008 at 8:38 pm #726154WHAT?!
I agree with DraccoPeople need to just keep their grumpy opinions to themselves and if you don’t like something, you aren’t required to buy it! So keep your comments to yourself! The prices were fine, some of those are HARD to find and on eBay they go for WAY more than that!
Phoenix don’t dissappear! You do have friends here and we’ll miss you.
(also I was thinking about getting that violet flame fledgie for my birthday >.< those are hard to find!)
August 4, 2008 at 8:39 pm #726155you know I agree also… I came and looked at what you had…. and I of course couldn’t afford anything… but still it’s your stuff and you do whatever you want with it..
there have been a few people that have sold things that were given to them.. and I know I would really hate to have to sell something given to me… I would still do it if I had a good reason to…
and honestly at the end of the day.. it was mine because it was given to me, so therefore mine to do what I want with..
as were the things you were selling… so again no one has to like it.. but sometimes it has to be done..
and I wouldn’t remove it for any reason unless Jennifer or someone at Windstone asked me to…
August 4, 2008 at 8:49 pm #726156>_>; @ whoever said that to Phoenix.
For heaven’s sake. Like it’s any of our ruddy business why or when she sells her Windstones. How rude. Not everyone has the space or the $ to keep every single Windstone they buy.
Here’s a scenario for you – say you know something LP is going to show up in the store. You’re not sure you’re going to like it, but you know it’ll sell out immediately, so what do you do? Buy it, or pass it up and then regret it later, when you can’t get for store price (if at all)? Obviously you’re going to buy it (if you can afford to) – that way, even if you don’t like it enough, you can always sell it later.
I speak from experience – I bought those same royal hatchers that Phoenix was trying to sell, and they just haven’t grown on me at all. So I’m going to sell them. You want to say something to ME about it? Let’s have it.
Maybe she needed the money, maybe she needed the space, maybe they just didn’t do it for her anymore. Who do you think you are, to tell her what to do with her own property?
Judge not, lest ye be judged.
August 4, 2008 at 8:51 pm #726157Also, we as collectors love to find a good deals on these pieces because they can be expensive, but we don’t want the value of them to fall. We want the value to hold through years or even rise and make our collections more valuable. You shouldn’t expect the members on this forum to post their pieces at a lower value just so that others can get a good deal. That’s what we shop eBay and craigslist for. LP items are the same, they’re limited pieces and so should rise in price more so than the other production pieces. I have no problem with someone asking more than they paid for the piece. Since it’s worth that much to them and it’s worth that much to the person willing to pay it.
August 4, 2008 at 8:54 pm #726158Huh? What the heck is going on!?
If you want to sell, you want to sell, and that’s it. No one has anything to say about it.
I hope you get to sell what you want and that you get what you want for it.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmAugust 4, 2008 at 8:57 pm #726159you see Phoenix, you have plenty of friends. so get your butt back here !!
dont let these people bother you. if you wanna sell your stuff then do it and if you have decided to keep it then to that too. its up to you , but we have your back. 😉
August 4, 2008 at 9:00 pm #726160You’ve GOT to be KIDDING!!! Personally I thought all your asking prices were extreamly modest!!! *for lack of a better term, I thought the prices were pretty damn good* and if someone thinks otherwise then DON’T BID! Everyone has a right to what they think each of their individual pieces are worth to them.
Phoenix has done TONS for other people and even myself and shame on whomever was branding her to feel as if she were low life! Phoenix, you’re anything but!!!
How many times have I or anyone else on here made to feel that way for reselling a piece? It’s not like you’re asking some kind of ridiculous price. If you posted you wanted $300 for a $50 curlie or something like I see on ebay I might roll my eyes and say “ha yea right, good luck with that buddy” but come on!!!If it’s worth that to the collector then so be it, that’s the point you click that little “x” in the corner of your screen and be done with it if you don’t like it. It’s a really sad situation when members have to feel unconfortable to even post anything in this section now because other members have to bash them for one reason or another. It’s a Flea Market Section! Get over it and don’t bid if you don’t like it! People need to just mind their damn business and keep their comments to themselves sometimes.
Not to be rude, but do you notice now everyone needs a sob story to go along with selling their Windstones lately? Sometimes that’s how it is and you need to sell them for money because of a tragic event which is never fun to to, but I wonder if sometimes members are just afraid to post their pieces *just because they can, or need to make room, or are cleaning house* and they have to be made to feel like THIS because they aren’t in dire straights and should be able to cut good deals because of that. This isn’t a place for members to sell off their collections “dirt cheap” and I think people are forgetting that.
Sorry if I seem overly mad about this, but I’ve been through it and I know how it feels to be accussed of this, and Phoenix has especially done many favors for me and others as well and I’m offended that someone on this forum would even have made her feel so terrible!
I’m in your corner 100% Phoenix and my offers still stand 100% if you change your mind! I think you’re the best!!! *hugs*

There is nothing wrong with re-selling your pieces and I thought your prices were very fair. Lots of people have sold pieces on the forum. And it doesn’t matter WHY you were selling them – we live in a free market world. Please come back!
August 4, 2008 at 9:26 pm #726162This is ridiculous!!! You can sell your Windstones for whatever you want to!! If someone doesn’t like the price, they simply don’t need to buy anything!!! Please ignore whoever it was and come back.

I only have so much quote room, so I chose kitsunelady’s. I also agree with dracco and drag0nfeathers! Please come back, Phoenix! I’m sorry someone made you feel guilty for selling YOUR things! Your presence will be missed; please don’t stay away.
August 4, 2008 at 9:45 pm #726164Hi Phoenix, I’m new here and I am not sure of the prices, but I feel they were very reasonable considering what I spent buying them on Ebay. You should listen to everything that your friends wrote, their right.
