We had a really bad thunderstorms last night in NJ – weird lightening effect. At one point the flashes were nearly continuous – kind of looked like a flickering light bulb. I stayed at work an extra half hour because there was such a torrential downpour and I didn’t feel like getting soaked!

But, hey, on the brighter side the storm broke the heat wave we had been having!

We have had a couple of those also. The one was continuous like you said. It was crazy because the trees were bent at half way up and in a very unlikely 90 degree angle. The wind actually woke me up, not the lightening. It reminded me of Twister. 😯

      I only call it a tornado if there’s a funnel…

      Otherwise it’s windy. 😀

I love how in Edmonton we get a tornado warning every week that never happens. 😆

In San Francisco, every Tuesday at noon an air-raid siren goes off. Don’t ask me why!

we have F2 level storms like twice each winter, tornados are scientificly impwssible in Iceland) and we have had lorrytrucks blown of the roads quite some distance so that must be something
