-J R R TolkienOctober 10, 2007 at 7:52 pm #620029Geez, it’s such a subtle play of colors too, in places….I don’t think there’s any way to truly appreciate this dragon except in person.
(and you probably thought I was joking, but I really do pet him, Nam…he’s very touchable. that’s probably going to be bad for the finish after a while!)

Yes, though it’s about half painting, half application of my dry metallic pigments. It’s no joke when these guys take me eons to do! Then again I paint the griffins feather by feather, so… 🙂

It’s not a brand, but dry metallic mica particles. 🙂 The same stuff that is in interference paints. You can try Golden Interference colors. The other closest thing you can find to what I’m using are called Pearlex powders.

So do I, but at least the feathers are on a workable scale, but some some of the dragon scales get pretty darn small.
October 12, 2007 at 10:12 am #620038I’d like to see you do a Neptune-ish Kirin, GB. Blues and greens…yum!
October 12, 2007 at 11:14 am #620039I like the idea! Would Nam allow it, though?
October 12, 2007 at 1:02 pm #620040My paint jobs are owned by Windstone, like Melody’s… I don’t think Windstone would allow it, unless it looked quite a bit different. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comOctober 12, 2007 at 5:05 pm #620041Well, well. Funny thing is I got a second chance offer on this Emperor.
Here is the email:
Hi There,
I am the seller of “Item Number:300154894433 WINDSTONE EDITIONS NEPTUNE EMPEROR DRAGON ” ,and I’ve just been contacted by the eBay staff who informed me that the winner of the item I sold, withdrew his bidding and was rejected due to security reasons (either failed to follow through on the purchase commitment or outright refused to do so).
In compliance with eBay policy ,I offer you the item thru Second Chance Offer program at your LAST BID PRICE.
The eBay policy automatically proclaims you to be the winner by default.Nevertheless, I need your agreement on this so I may contact eBay to confirm you the winning position, otherwise I’ll relist the item.
I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I need an answer as soon as possible.Your last auctioned bid prior to being outbid is taken into consideration.
If you still interested, please email me at: l98798n@hotmail.com or reply me at this e-mail.
With Best Regards,
SincerelyGeesh, people must think I am stupid to fall for this espically since I knew Arlla won it. 🙄 But I really am looking at the humor in it.
October 12, 2007 at 5:39 pm #620042Ugh, forward that email to spoof@ebay.com These things happen all the time on higher priced items!! Never accept a second chance offer unless you get it through your eBay messages.. emails are almost always spoofs/scams. I don’t think Windstone has ever had to do a second chance offer.
