can you file a complaint through ebay or paypal about this? it is pretty evident he lied to you. 🙁
Yes I could but they might ask me to return the sculpture and I don’t want to do that! 😕 I don’t know what I will do yet but the fact that he his twisting everything around, he does not deserve to get away with it. I don’t know…If I could file a complaint and still get to keep him that would be great! 😀April 20, 2008 at 10:35 pm #691875Gosh, Blackdesertwind, I’m sorry you’re going through all of this! I agree with you, the sculpture is beautfiul, I can see why you want to keep it. Unfortunately, the guy you bought it from sounds like a con, even if he has positive feedback for every transaction he did. Have you thought about leaving him neutral feedback? He wouldn’t have much to complain about then.
April 20, 2008 at 10:56 pm #691876I’ve posted this before, DM. Apparently some catalogs did list this sculpt for almost $2000. Whether any actually sold for that much is another story.
BDW, I agree that the guy is being a complete jerk. He is dishonest and a slob to boot. He should be ashamed of himself, sending it to you so dirty. 🙄 I don’t think you are going to get any satisfaction from him though. I think I would just clean it up and keep it, rather than be out $160. I would leave him neutral feedback at best. You have to do what’s best for you, though.
May 26, 2008 at 2:50 am #691877Update:
After we wrote to each other several time and him being a complete jerk about it, twisting everything, I left negative feedback and he retaliated by being dishonest again in the feedback he left me.
Said I was trying to manipulate him to geting it cheaper. When all along he has seen the pictures and was dishonest about it being new and in exelent conditions.
It’s only normal when a buyer gets something that was damaged in the first place before the seller sending it, that I would expect either a full refund with shipping or a partial refund if I decide to keep it.
He offerd a partial refund (not including $160.00 shipping cost) or $10.00 refund.
Unresponsible sellers really get me pissed off. 👿
Wasn’t my fault that he was dishonest from the start and he’s still at it with the feedback.I wrote in his feedback:
in email said new not honest got used and scratched dirty won’t refund shipping
Reply by ******** (25-May-08 17:33):

May 26, 2008 at 2:55 am #691878Well the good thing with the feedback changes now on ebay is if he sells something again his only options are to leave positive feedback or no feedback at all.
May 26, 2008 at 3:43 am #691879Sorry you didnt get a better offer. Sometimes people just cant see when they are wrong. It seems to be common.
