Will they be making all of the ones that they have on there now? Some say limited.

That is a good question! Just have to wait and see! 😉
April 20, 2008 at 4:37 pm #675137They will be making more of all the ones that are not signed by Melody. The signed ones are done when they run out. So if it says it was signed by her, don’t expect it to be restocked.

I guess that I started this too late then. How ofter does she put “special” ones out?
April 20, 2008 at 4:48 pm #675139The “special” pieces (that have signatures) are only sold on ebay now. Someone correct me on this if I’m wrong.
All of the curls are limited as the only place you can buy them is the Windstone online store, not in retail stores.
April 20, 2008 at 5:02 pm #675140A big part of it was that Windstone realized that they were putting too many things out with Melody’s signature on them, making it less rare (and less valuable). So she stopped signing the curled dragons for starters. It’s unknown if she’ll put more out with signatures now.
April 20, 2008 at 5:03 pm #675141What about those ones with the eggs. Does she make those for the store? I only see the two
April 20, 2008 at 5:06 pm #675142The hatching dragons are mostly regular production. The hatching royalty dragons (hatching emperor, empress, and kinglet) can be regular production or limited production, depending on the color.
Regular production means it is sold through any Windstone dealer, as well as on their website. Limited production means it is only sold on the Windstone website.
The colors that are regular production at this time are: Gold, Black Gold, Emerald Peacock, and Red Fire.
Rainbow used to be regular production, but it retired in 2006. There were a few pieces not ever produced in the rainbow color, so now (because of forum members squeaking for them) Melody is producing the pieces in Rainbow through limited production. The Hatching Royalty are limited production in Rainbow.
Silver is a limited production color, so it will only be offered through the online store.
I hope that answers your questions. 😀

No…I meant the ones that look like the curlie, but with the gold egg on top.
April 20, 2008 at 5:57 pm #675144Ah the mother coiled dragon. Right now she is available as a regular production piece in Black Gold. That means you can get her at a regular retail store (or Web site) or Windstone’s store when they have more in stock.
The brown mother coiled dragon is a limited production piece.
She also came in three colors that have been retired: peacock, emerald and white.
Right now a lot of the pieces that are out of stock may stay that way for a while as the factory is in the process of moving from California to Oregon. The casting department has been shut down so there are no new pieces being cast for paiting at this time. Hopefully things will get set back up soon so the out of stock items can be restocked. It may still take a few months though. We just have to be patient.

Wow! You sure have all of this down! I think someone should make your explanation as a Sticky! I think you’ve covered all the bases.

Thanks! 😀 It’s part of my business to know this stuff. And I’m an English composition professor. I try to be clear when I can.

Have no idea what a sticky is, but I agree. (if that means you are knowledgeable) (spelling I think)
April 20, 2008 at 7:13 pm #675148A sticky is a post that stays or “sticks” to the top of the forum area. If you look at different areas, you will see topics that say Sticky. Other topics will move down as new topics are posted or as other topics are discussed more.
April 20, 2008 at 8:04 pm #675149How did I ever miss this thread?! Oh yea- the horse show season had me.
I should DEFINITELY be on the list (as seen in my Wish List post in the list I keep for you guys), for ALL new colors meaning ones to come AND…
I need the Lavender and Blue Pearl ones too.
Can I get my name onto those lists please?
