Tuesday my girls should be delivered! They are sisters and almost identical palomino welsh ponies.
Their registered names are Gracie and Crystal. I don’t want to call them by those names.
So any ideas for the golden girls?
As a recap, I have a chestnut named Fortune, a buckskin named Silo, and my bay stallion Frodo.I’m at a loss for some cute barn names for these girls.
Here’s some pictures…

Stormy and Breeze?
I guess its the first picture and how their manes are blowing??? 😛
Congrats by the way!!! 🙂
October 21, 2007 at 2:45 am #628167They’re cute as the dickens! 😀 You could name them for the Golden Girls TV show, maybe? Either the characters (choose from Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, or Sophia) or the actresses (Beatrice, Betty, Rue, or Estelle).
Or–different approach to gold here–how about Glimmer and Gleam?
Are they mischieveous? Flicker and Flare? Frick and Frack? Snickle and Fritz (okay, I admit that last doesn’t work for a girl).
Go Welsh? http://www.babynamenetwork.com has a whole list of Welsh girls’ names.
October 21, 2007 at 3:12 am #628168Arwin and Eowyn? (Galadriel would be a mouthful)
October 21, 2007 at 3:25 am #628169She could call her Gala for short. I just thought two elven names would be better since they’re sisters.
October 21, 2007 at 3:41 am #628170Of course, a lot depends on temperament and personality 😀 but based on coloring and the fact that they are sisters what about Genevieve and Guinevere. Both names are Welsh in origin and have similar meanings; white, fair and fair one. Or for short you could call them “jen and gwen” 😀

Anyone know what the stigian witches names were?
I’m usually good at picking names. When I hear it I’ll know it.
They were both kinda kept secrete until I got up the nerve to tell hubby I bought them, so I was thinking one named secrete, but I would like the other name to compliment as they are sisters.
