I paid a forum member for some Windstones. It’s been over a month. I’ve been patient because she’s had a number of problems lately. I don’t want to sound rude or naggy, but I’m reaching my limit. What’s the best way of handling this? (She has a good rating on the feedback list.)

Perhaps ask for a refund, I’d say after waiting as long as you have there’s no shame or wrong in doing so. Perhaps you two can talk business again once she has her personal life settled and is ready to get back into selling if that’s what you want.

I agree – ask for a refund and tell her to contact you when she’s in a position to ship again.

Yeah I would probably ask if they are able to ship right away and if not ask for a refund. I understand some people might not be able to ship things for a few days but to keep someone waiting a month is a bit too long if they already have your money. I had one issue a year ago or so where I didn’t hear back from someone for over a month on a trade and didn’t get it for over two months until other people started complaining. This should be a safe place for people to be able to do transactions with people they trust so it’s disappointing when that doesn’t always happen.

You are not rude, that seller sounds rude. Windstones are expensive, so chances are it was a good chunk of money. When you are dealing with larger sums, even if it’s everyday for you, it is common courtesy to be as professional and upfront as possible. If someone was paid and couldn’t deliver, they should have refunded ASAP or communicated the new timetable for you to give your ya or nay. If it was a crisis and no timetable known, the obvious is to refund and hope to reconnect for the transaction or a similar one at a later date. I think you are insanely patient for waiting a month.

I guess I lead a quiet, dull life. What sort of something happens that you can’t deliver a package in a whole month? If your legs get chopped off, there are always buses and para-transit.
