Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.July 5, 2009 at 1:01 am #773758We won a sculpt on ebay but before we did,I emailed them and asked for insurance.I did not recieve an answer.I asked again for insurance after I won this sculpt.Still,no answer. We have been jacked recently with this problem and the sculpt arrived busted. This is not the same seller,I think, but it does sound familiar.Should I wait the seven days ebay gives you for payment and take a chance on being black-marked on ebay for non-payment?Or take the chance and hope the sculpt is fine, pay for it and hope it gets home safe? Is there more we can do to avoid being ripped off again?Help? Thanks all 😀

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.July 5, 2009 at 1:06 am #773759Can you give him/her a call. I know you can look up a person’s personal info if you have a transaction with them.
July 5, 2009 at 1:22 am #773760Jasmine’s right, I’ve called a seller I dealt with to get a mess straightened out. Before you bid on an auction, maybe contact the seller first to see if they offer insurance and if so, the cost?
July 5, 2009 at 2:31 am #773761Does it say the Windstone has it’s original box, and will be double boxed? If so, chances are it will be safe…but nothing is guaranteed…You can call Ebay customer support at 1-800-701-3229 and request the user names email address, home address, and phone number. The seller will also receive a notification at the same time that you receive the information email that you have requested that information. Then the seller should realize that you are serious. You could also ask Ebay for advice on whether to pay for the item yet, or wait until the seller responds to your request for insurance. Hope this helps! 😀
July 5, 2009 at 3:11 am #773762Keep all correspondance. And wait till they send you an invoice with insurance. Ebay and paypal will not give you a hard time as long as you have all emails. I need to do an ebay and paypal tutorial. 😉
July 5, 2009 at 4:33 am #773763That’s a great idea Laurie, to consolidate the tips and tricks for getting around the ebay and Paypal systems. They both offer a lot of resources to protect their users that most people don’t know about–until they need to utilize them.
July 5, 2009 at 3:43 pm #773764That is good advice–you have the right to have insurance if you ask for it. Oh and by the way, remember that the Post Office or UPS will not honor a claim if they see that the item wasn’t packed right in the first place–so take Laurie’s advice and keep all correspondence! At least you’ll be able to get your money back from eBay. And…if I were asking a seller about shipping or insurance or anything else about the item I’m interested in and they don’t respond, that should give you a clue. Don’t bother!
July 5, 2009 at 11:05 pm #773765Thanks guys.I have done all that except to call them personally.I did mention to them about the double box, safe packing, all that.I am not getting any response.I asked before and after the bidding ended about insurance.I have all the emails too,so,here’s hoping.Thanx 😀
I recieved two payment due notices from the seller on my email this morning but no answer regarding my request for insurance. No invoice from ebay or paypal yet either. What now?{no phone to call personally} 😕
