I tried a different type of painting technique with this one, and i LOVE IT! This is a early christmas present for a close friend of mine. I asked him his favorite colors- red, hunter green, and a greenish blue. Sooo, i used all those colors along with a few random colors. I blended them together to create this piece. Using a dark red, hunter green, and teal. Using tones of purple and hightlights with silver. Along with some spots on the wings of metallic green. He is stunning in person!

I actually went ahead and gave it to him today and he loved it. He was in awe with it! 🙂 He couldn’t believe that i painted it. 😀 Heh, and he liked how it had ruby gems on it, since that’s his birth stone.
