See if you can figure these out. I will post the answers tomorrow.
Mystery 1…
A man was found murdered on Sunday morning.
His wife immediately called the police.
The police questioned the wife and staff and got these
alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet. The police instantly arrested the murderer.
Who did it and how did they know?Mystery 2…
A man walks into his bathroom and shoots himself right
between the eyes using a real gun with real bullets. He
walks out alive, with no blood anywhere. And no, he didn’t
miss and he wasn’t Superman or any other caped crusader. How did he do this?
Mystery 3…
Old Mr. Tidy was found dead in his study by Mr. Fiend.
Mr. Fiend recounted his dismal discovery to the
police “I was walking by Mr. Tidy’s house when I
thought I would just pop in for a visit. I noticed his
study light was on and I decided to peek in from the
outside to see if he was in there. There was frost on
the window, so I had to wipe it away to see inside.
That is when I saw his body. So I kicked in the front
door to confirm my suspicions of foul play. I called
the police immediately afterward.”The officer immediately arrested Mr. Fiend for the
murder of Mr. Tidy.
How did he know Mr. Fiend was lying?Mystery 4…
If you touch me, you will die, but you can only live
without me. I am a big part of your life, and will
eventually be the only thing left.! &n bsp;You will learn
to embrace me finally and rest. What am I?

2. he shoots into the mirror.
3. something to do with the frost on the window, but not sure how.
4. need to think more on this one. did you really mean ‘you can only live without me’?April 2, 2007 at 6:11 pm #558012Mystery # 1 – The Maid b/c there is no mail delivery on Sunday.
April 2, 2007 at 6:17 pm #558013# 3 The posted (elsewhere) answer is that frost forms on the inside of the window, so he couldn’t have wiped it off. Frost can form on the outside, too, can’t it? Or maybe that only occurs on car windshields and double paned windows?
April 2, 2007 at 6:19 pm #558014I’m not sure what nature says, but thanks for the answer, lamorte. I couldn’t figure it out. And I still don’t know the answer to #4.
April 2, 2007 at 6:21 pm #558015Me either and I don’t want to google it for the answer and ruin it for other people.
Here’s a couple more:
Name an English word of more than 2 letters that both begins and ends with the letters “he” in that order. There are two possible answers. “hehe” is not acceptable. haha!
Cross out six letters and you’ll find a word that we should know. The word must be spelled out in order.

i originally thought that too. frost only forms on the inside. but if your house is cold enough, i think it can form on the outside, too.
my dad turned the heat off every night. even if it got below freezing. i slept under 7-10 blankets ever night durnign the winter. now, i cannot fall asleep unless i am weighted down! 🙄
April 2, 2007 at 7:02 pm #558017You must have hated getting out of bed in the morning! 😯
