Okay, I figured I’d try my luck at taking some pictures of my Windstones and try to share them with you…
The Crow isn’t a Windstone. He is my very first piece and is what got me into collecting. I saw the crow statue in a store in Salem, Ma. I fell in love with him but the price scared me. My husband said, if you like him get him. The sales lady said the price is $100. I had never spent that much on a collectible. My husband looked at me, looked at the sales lady, laughed, and said, “I’ll give you ninety five dollars”. Then he said to me, “see, it ain’t a hundred dollars, it’s only ninety five.” The sales lady said, “okay”. Then they both laughed. And thats how I got him. I have two images of him so you can see the detail and one image with a fledgling so you can see his size. My first Windstone was the Scratching dragon, which my husband got me the following year for Valentines Day. And now my collection is getting HUGE…..I guess I have gotten over worrying about money.

So very true! I have spent good money on some pieces that I didn’t enjoy much and others that I would have paid 3X as much because I enjoy them so much. Only if we all had a crystal ball to look into so we would know ahead of time. There were some movies I wish I could have gotten back the 2 hours of life I wasted on them. Oh well……
