I’m awaiting approval in the gallery, but I thought I’d show him here anyway. My first shot at painting a PYO.
The Pink Kirin (Ski should love him.)
The detail of the brown parts doesn’t show up so well. It’s actually about four shades of brown with hightlights and lowlights for shading. The pink has a number of different shades too, for variation.

March 26, 2007 at 10:33 pm #555978that’s cute…kind of similar to one I did….
are you going to put interference on her….I think that would look good…
March 26, 2007 at 10:34 pm #555979Thanks! I do love his little face. That’s why I had to put that inset close up in there. He’s keeping company with Watergazer’s Kirin (that I got from SPark) and Autumn Wolf. And Unicornlvr’s repainted Hippogriff stands guard over all of them. lol I have three dragon PYOs that are waiting to get painted and I have ideas for two of them, so that might be soon too.
I just hope I don’t spend too much time painting and forget to finish my thesis! 😀

I haven’t been able to find any, and I kind of like the way he looks antique-like. And he’s sealed now. So this one probably won’t get any interference paint. Maybe the dragons will if I can find a place that knows what I’m talking about when I ask. Right now I get a blank look of confusion.

March 26, 2007 at 10:47 pm #555982Nice job! I’ve always loved how brown and pink go together!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
March 26, 2007 at 11:14 pm #555983I love the color of the fur with the pink scales. Good job. 😀

March 27, 2007 at 4:04 am #555988That’s very nicely done. Is it a he or a she? Whatever it is, it reminded me of Nam’s Royal Kirin.
March 27, 2007 at 6:42 am #555989Its very nice! I like the brown and pink. Those two go well together in this case. Its face is cute, too. Jury is still out on the eye color. 😛
