So just wanted to share my photos from the last two weeks.
We had a pretty ice mist on Boxing Day. So I took pictures while I was waiting on the bus to go to work.
On Saturday, I took this picture of the clock tower at Victoria Park. I would have loved to go into the park to get more pictures of the lights, but, it’s just not safe, and I was carrying a new quilt and coverlet. (Heavy suckers… great deal though, the quilt was reg. $149 on clearance for $20!)
Here’s the clock tower in the day, taken the next morning

Views from my balcony
And Romeo enjoying his venture out. I would have taken a picture of Danny but, he was sticking close to my legs.

August 26, 2008 at 11:52 pm #651261Decided to find this thread to put up some new pics.
We went to the Toronto Zoo on Wednesday and after many exhausting hours went home with over 100 pictures, a bad sunburn and too many mosquito bites. Some butterfly’s first.
This butterfly was posing so nicely. Sadly when I tried to take the picture an overexcited kid bumped my arm and scared the butterfly away. I like how the picture came out anyways.
Some ducks that were in the butterfly house as well.
Tiger cubs (these are…. oh I forget what they are called but, they aren’t Siberian)
Red River Hogs or is it just red hogs.
Many more to come…
August 27, 2008 at 12:02 am #651262This was called Darwin’s Dream Aquarium. All different cichlids. Sadly my camera doesn’t like glass…
Warthog, this big old guy sunning himself. You’d almost think he was dead except for his tail and ears would move every once in a while.
I only saw one rhino, I wonder were everyone else was?
There was only one giraffe as well.
I have no clue what kind of bird this is. It was in the Americana exhibit.
I realized after I came back that my bird pictures were better than anything else that I took. Here’s some road runners
Here’s the link to my album, I’ll try to get the pictures in order soon, and tagged soon.

Beautiful pictures….
Are you sure it was a kid that was over exited and not you 😆 It must have been a gorgious butterfly. 😀
It’s a male Common Mormon right?August 27, 2008 at 2:36 am #651265Romeodanny wrote:I have no clue what kind of bird this is. It was in the Americana exhibit.
It’s a Roseate Spoonbill.
Sumatran tiger perhaps? They are really rare though, so if not Sumatran, Royal Bengal (or just Bengal) was the subspecies?
