MRSA is actually more common than you’d think and is found on your skin. The problem is when it gets in a wound or something. Honey, particularly honey made from a specific type of plant in NZ is actually really effective in treating wounds or skin infections with MRSA (you slather some honey on the wound… works on burns too if you are hard up on anything else). If it gets into your system though, the honey solution goes out the window (since it’s in your blood stream at that point and not purely topical).
